I have just started quilting and wanted a small iron that would press the small pieces that I am working on. The Rowenta First Class, Model DA1560 is perfect for the job. It is lightweight and has a high precision tip to steam open the small seams. It has a burst of steam as needed. It has a microsteam200 stainless steel bottom which glides over my fabric which generates easy wrinkle removal. It also will give you vertical steam as needed for those items that need to be steamed. The iron has a large water tank but needs to be refilled several times for larger projects. And, comes with its own storage bad, not that mine will be stores. The price was reasonable, about $50.00 at our local Joanne's. The only bad thing I find with Rowenta is that is does not have an on/off switch. If not used for 5 minutes, it automatically cools down. I would prefer an on/off switch. Other than that, it is great for doing small craft projects. For ironing larger items, I would switch back to my larger iron but for quiliting, it is just the ticket. Very convenient.
