I bought the Trendnet TEW432-BRP router about a year ago. You see, I needed something that outed wireless internet to my laptop computer. This was the most inexpensive router avaliable. Despite the low price, I am impressed and happy by the quality of the Trendnet TEW-432BRP router. — This router is used for outing wireless internet connectivity within about 50 feet in all directions of the router through a broadband internet connection. There are four ports avaliable as well for connecting computers nearby through LAN line without using wireless. —… read full review »

Apple always delivers on its claims… the public might not always agree, but products ALWAYS deliver! I have used the Airport Extreme Router since January and it is faultless and efficient, stable and reliable on both 2.4GHz & 5GHz settings. I use PCs and Macs on my home network in a large soviet-type building with super thick concrete walls. I use an old PowerMac G4 500 server upgraded to 1.24GHz with 270GGB storage, 128GB graphics card and cable ethernet from the router. The other is a MacBook Pro 2.4GHz, 17" hi-res screen (1920 x 1200) 160GB HD and Extreme Airport card built-in. … read full review »

Although Ver 2 loses conectivity frequently it is still one of the easier wireless routers to setup.  Ver 8 seems to lose connctivity less frequently and has several more options than Ver 2.  After one of my Ver 2 routers went down it took less than 5 minutes to replace and reconfigure it with a Ver 8… read full review »

I recently purchased this router for my new laptop. It works great. I haven't had any problems and the set up was a breeze. I am a stay at home Mom that is going back to school and I have about 12 years of computer experience. That is that I have been using computers for that long, certainly not working on them. I got this item at Best Buy for $45. — The one think that I would like to point out that you may not hear from your local Best Buy employee, (however mine was nice enough to remind me of this), is that you MUST set up an encrypted password or anyone in your area has the… read full review »

The WRT54GS Wireless Router is fairly easy to setup, even for a "newbie", however, the security settings can be a little daunting at first. If you simply follow the instructions, use Linksys' recommendations relating to security settings, etc...you should be up and running with very little effort. — — DHCP setup is straight-forward for PCs and assigned IPs are no problem either. I have a mix of Unix and PCs running on my internal network and have not encountered any issues to date.If you have problems with signal strength, try reorienting/relocating the unit, even a little, as… read full review »

Apple Airport Extreme Router

I used to have a Linksys wireless router on my PC, and I had to reset it all the time. It was complicated to set up, and hardly ever worked properly. — I finally became fed up and bought the Apple Airport Extreme. I am well aware of Apple's reputation for excellence, so there was really no question about what I was going to buy. And to seal the deal, it's PC compatible and so user friendly, it only took about 10 minutes to set up. The only problem I have now is with my cable/internet company! — Sure, Apple products are more expensive, but they're more reliable, durable… read full review »

Out of the box, this piece of equipment has been a joy.  The install wizard took me from a wired router to the wireless router painlessly.  Our secure network was simple and effective to set up.  The only downside (which doesn't matter for my use) is that it doesn't have bridge capabilities.  I would highly reccomend this router should you desire to untangle yourself from the… read full review »
