I'm not sure why these jeans do this or if all the Route 66 jeans do but I wouldn't buy another pair. They were cheap but they acted cheap too!

Thanks for this review. I've been needing some jeans before winter gets here, but I have enough baggy jeans and do not need anymore. I definetly won't be buying these.

I hate it! I think it could be the spandex but I have worn jeans and shorts with a little stretch for years. Suddenly I have jeans growing. My son does too. He will be holding them up by the end of the day. Drives him crazy and his have no spandex in them.

What is UP with that growing thing??? I bought some shorts in the spring in my size but they felt slightly snug so I sized up. When they come out of the dryer they fit great but after a few hours they fall off my butt. Grrr, so annoying!

LOL. Maybe that's why they have growing jeans, because their customers will end up growing after buying all the junk they sell. they sure do push the junk at the registers!

I was in KMart just the other day. They have so much candy, Little Debbie Snack Cakes, and potao chips by the cash registers that their customers probably gain 5 lbs. walking through the door.

Wow, I will look into it. We have all those stores close by. That would be cool if they were selling for cheap somewhere. I love a bargain! Thanks.

I'm not sure if they have them or not but not too long ago, I drove past a dollar store (Family Dollar? Dollar General? Probably the former) in Albuquerque and they were advertising that they sold Bugle Boy products. It might just be a regional thing or just some stores carry the line. I never went in but there was a sign out front so who knows? Maybe they still do.

LOL. That is probably where they get the jeans. The people didn't lose weight, their pants just grew!

I know, sometimes we end up having to laugh together or go nuts. I try to interject a little humor into things and sometimes it just happens!

Well, if you ever want to try out for one of those diet infomercials, you've got the perfect jeans for the "after" shot!

I told you I'm turning over a new leaf! Saving money, no more spending, all that stuff I will never adhere to. I won't be buying Route 66 though. Maybe the Wal-Mart brand, whatever that is.

That would be fun to read - a compilation of the funniest reviews (intention ally or not). I laughed at your coleslaw review and several other people's reviews (Not AT the review but WITH the reviewer...).

No, I just need to give them to the Rescue Mission and buy the jeans that stay up. :) The Route 66's are good for people feeling like they gained a little weight though. Wear them for a few hours and they'll feel skinny in no time!

That would help! Or a drawstring waist. I honestly could have lost them as I walked and that would have been a little embarrassing. Heh.

Wranglers got a really bad rap when Lee's and Levi's were so popular. People wouldn't be seen in Wranglers. Now, I think they're just as good as the others. They make a great pair of women's western type jean (no back pockets, tight and slim, long length.) which I own and love. Yeah the Route 66's were about disintegrated when I got home from KMart with them. lol.

Wow, I remember Bugle Boy jeans and they were always good jeans. I haven't seen them anywhere around here in quite a while. I wonder if they still sell women's jeans. Thanks for the comment!

I'm beginning to think someone back at the office should start working on a book about "Funniest Reviews". What with this review of yours and Ron's review about the Rainbow Vacuum Cleaner, and my review about coleslaw -- and a hundred knee-slappers that other people have written -- we could have the potential for a best-seller here! HAHAHA! I'm sorry, Patty, I just can't stop laughing about those jeans of yours and I know it wasn't funny at the time!

Like Cyndi said, you might need suspenders with those. ;>

I got used to and loved Levi's for a long time. Always bought them at J.C. Penny's for around 30 bucks. Then I saw a commercial by Dale Jr for Wranglers and thought, well, I'd always thought those were crap, but from what I know of Jr, he's not the kind of guy to endorse stuff that is crap. So, I went to Wal Mart and found a pair for 15 bucks and love 'em. That's all I wear these days. I think I bought a pair of Route 66 jeans a long time ago, but they were from K Mart and thus self-destructed in the car on the way home! (kidding, off course). They sure didn't last long, though.

My fave jeans are Bugle Boy, which fit me perfectly, are well-made, feel great and reasonably priced. Your mileage may vary, of course. Great review... I'll be sure to avoid Route 66 jeans!
