My favorite drink is rum and diet Coke.  Most of the parties and catered affairs I have attended utilize Bacardi rum on the bar.  My wife and I both favor the same drink and have used Ron Rico for many years.  I can distinct a difference in the taste between the two rums, but it is not a discernible one that would make us defer using Ron Rico instead of Bacardi.  From a budget aspect, the Ron Rico brand is considerably less expensive than Bacardi and it makes a wonderful Cuba Libre as well.  Therefore, we have been enjoying the taste of Ron Rico in our home and our friends have that brand in their home for us when we visit.  We respond by having their favorite brand of spirits on return visits which is usually a weekly affair.
