Romano's Macaroni Gill, Restaurant Favorites Creamy Basil Notes for Allergies:

Contains wheat, milk, soy and egg

My Viewpoint: Each of the Romano's Macaroni Gill, Restaurant Favorites, feature Chicken, however, I made the  Creamy Basil, with pork and it turned out wonderfully. I imagine you could add vegetables or tofu also. I can see steamed asparagus being a good side dish for this meal, or in our case a simple salad did the trick.  It was so easy to prepare an quality Italian meal with Romano's Macaroni Gill, Restaurant Favorites Creamy Basil dinner kit.  I cooked the meat, boiled water, added the seasonings and then added it all together.  I admit, I did add about 1/2 cup more pasta, and there was plenty of sauce for the addition.  I did this because it really didn't seem to be a 5 cup serving, but it was.  The directions were easy to follow, and it was nice not having to stop and look for this or that to see if I could make this dinner.  The addition of the sun dried tomatoes was perfect for taste and color. The aroma of the meal got everyone to the table with rosemary, basil and garlic. I admit the aroma lingered a bit causing me to bring out my Febreeze.  I want it to smell good before and during, but after it would be nice it if went away.  The entire meal was eaten.  The younger girls liked the rotini pasta better than the linguine, it was easier for them to eat.  The sauce was creamy and flavorful and not too much or too little for the meal.  It was really delicious and for just a few dollars per person I had a great Italian meal at home. In the restaurant this meal would cost approximately $9.99 for one person.  Romano's Macaroni Gill, Restaurant Favorites Creamy Basil is very delicious.  It is a little high in sodium, and like all pasta dishes high in carbs, but it definitely a must buy again for a quality sit down dinner at home.  Who knew instant could taste so good?

Nice job, Lisa - it's interesting to watch the supermarkets come to our freezers.

Glad you liked it. I'm so glad that convenience doesn't have to taste artificial.

I'm noticing more and more products in the grocery stores with brands names of restaurant chains. Boston Market, Marie Callendar, California Pizza Kitchen, and even Taco Bell are marketing products this way. I'm glad it was yummy.

Hi Lisa, we get free products in the mail to try. Romano's Macaroni Grill was one of these products. We will be trying it this week except for me, it has wheat in it. I enjoyed your review!!!
