The movie was made in 1975 and became a cult classic playing in theaters around the country - and world - for years. It's still as corny, brilliant, shocking, and cheesy today as it was then. It's a must see, in my opinion. There's nothing quite like it and probably never will be.

Most HelpfulI finally gave in and went to the local showing at midnight. It was the kind where they also act it out live (all throughout the movie) - this was a total distraction. I guess you either love the movie or you hate it. My boyfriend loves it, I hate it.
All that I can say is that I've been there,...

For those who love something a little weird. Original plot, suprisingly well-known stars.
To give a brief intro- two conservative love birds end up in the middle of nowhere. They get a flat and run across a spooky mansion, full of unconventional conventionists who happen to be doing the time warp. They are gathered to see the unveiling of this mad scientist's new.. peice of work.
I really love this classic cult film. It's not for everyone, some of my closest friends just don't get it.

A Cult Classic that is a must see. Your first time MUST be in a theater where they do the live show along with the movie!! This is a love it or hate it, no in betweens. What's not to love.... you have stars like Susan Sarandon, Barry Bostwick and Tim Curry (before they were stars). You have great musical numbers like Time Warp and an interesting cast of characters like Brad & Janet,(Susan & Barry) the couple who ends up at the mansion of Dr. Frank-n-Furter (Tim Curry) after their car breaks down. They a greeted by a host of characters like Dr. Frank-n-Furter, a mad scientist with a...

This movie rocks, but it is not for everyone, many people watch this movie and don't get it. It is definately an acquired taste, that is more easily acquired with a roomfull of enthusiastic RHPS fans. Which was my experience, so I was hooked at once. But almost no one that I ever met could resist a cult version at a movie theater where everyone dresses up and brings all their props..Rice, newspaper, squirt gun...... It is such a blast. I recommend that you see it at least once and experience the cult version in a theater at least once...Go on Dress up and act like an ass....it liberating....

This movie is definately in my top five! I saw the movie for the first time when I was seven ( I know it seems a little young, but my parents have been die-hard Rocky fans since the movie was released in 1975). Just this past October-November, my younger sister (now 21) played Magenta in the stage-adapted version at our local theatre! The moment was nothing short of wonderfully nostalgic for the whole family!
Although the movie isn't for everyone, (that's why it's such a cult-classic!) It's fun, playful, musical, interactive...a great recipe for a good time!
*Definately not recommended for anyone...

The Rocky Horror Picture Show is one of the best cult classics of all time. This movie is filled with a star studded cast that keeps you laughing and singing along throughout the entire movie. This is one movie that you can't see just once. It is a film for all ages and is a way to see wierd and corky characters come to life and take you to another world.
