Most HelpfulRock of Love...with Bret Michaels
The Bret Michael show is a forum for his over inflated image of himself.
This former and aged rock star needs to grow up!
The various scantily clad bimbos they hired to fawn over him must have been well paid!
All of them were much younger than he is and the show...
read full review »I will admit that at one time, I was a Bachelor t.v. show fan. I also, was an 80's child who loved Bret Michaels from the rock band Poison.
I haven't seen or heard anything about either of them until Vh-1's new show "Rock of Love...with Bret Michaels" came on. I thought this show was gonna be a train wreck and I was right. Crazy, tattooed, party animal women vying for the attention of one Bret Michaels. It basically follows the same premise of the Bachelor, just rocker style.
Bret still wears clothes that he wore 15 years ago. The women will do anything they can to get his attention and...
read full review »I somehow got addicted to watching Bret Michaels (he's so gorgeous even now in his fourties) trying to find love on the series Rock of Love. I have to say that it is definitely sex drugs and rock and roll. I lost alot of respect for Bret after seeing this series. He says he is looking for love but it just looks like an alcoholic rock party with him and some 20 girls! Disgusting! However it did hold my attention because I couldn't believe what I was watching half the time. I thought most of the girls were very groupieish and dumb and what was even dumber was watching Bret Michaels displays...
read full review »You know.....I'm an 80's girl and I love my 80's rock music to this day, but come on! I think we all have better things to do with our time than watch the gorgeous Brett Michaels lower himself to bimbos and hookers 25 years later! Honestly,...I've watched one and a half episodes! I tell you this because I had to give the benefit of doubt to the half episode I channel surfed across, and watch a full episode to see if my feelings on this changed. I have to say, I found it difficult to stomach an entire show of women lowering themselves to the standards THAT THEY FANTASIZED Brett Michael...
read full review »About 20 years ago Brett Michaels was a hot dude in lipstick. These days he'a a balding C lister. So why not follow another aging 80s throwback, Flavor Flav, and go "looking for love" on VH1.
A lovely (ahem) assortment of young (?) ladies were assembled for Mr Michael's pleasure, mainly wanna be rockstars and quite a few exotic dancers. Brain not really required, Bret doesn't seem that cerebral.
Every week the lovely ladies perform a series of increasingly ridiculously demeaning tasks to titilate the rockstar , in order to win a "date". Then spend the rest of the day drinking, eating, drinking...
read full review »Bret, babe, you make a pair of jeans look wonderful, but have we really reached such a low that we're entertained by cheesy lines and cat fights between women over a guy presented in any format other than sitcom satire? Doesn't this idea belong on an episode of Family Guy or SNL? And when did we time travel back to the idea of women needing and fighting to catch and land men being anything but offensive anyway? I tried to watch Rock of Love, but there's a commercial about 2 hamburger guys getting their own reality TV show that sums it up better than I could, and sadly, it's wittier...
read full review »I must say that I have been watching Brett Michael's "Rock of Love" show since it began. I had no intention of getting hooked on the show, but I did. My teenage daughters and I watch it together while we comment on all of the drama. Each week offers an inevitable train wreck, and it is hilarious. Being a punk rocker in the early 80s I wasn't into Poison or even knew who Brett Michaels was, but watching the show, he seems like a cool person with a good head on his shoulders.
All in all, the show is trashy but thoroughly entertaining.
At first, yes, the girls are crazy! But Bret is putting himself, his career, and his reputation on the line for these crazy women. I like Bret and I would definelty date him, but being on the road and having all the women flock to him would be extremly hard to live with. So kudoes to both Bret and the crazy women who go on the show!
my most favorite realty show so far is rock of love but then comes my antonio i was loved these guys from looking like a girl to going to the general hospital but man i just watch to see if my picks are chosen i like watchinh the challenges the show comes up with. but me myself was thinking about trying out tough love ....
Rock of Love is hilarious and keeps me coming back. First, because I have always loved Bret Michaels and Poison and this show let me rediscover what an awesome singer and songwriter he is. I love his solo album and this show really promoted career. The girls are hilarious and outrageous and you have to expect all this craziness otherwise it would just be the "Bachelor" and for an ordinary guy that great but Bret is a ROCK GOD. SOOOOOOOOO its just amazing to see him just talking and interacting and yes making out because growing up listening and seeing this babe in concert was amazing and...
