I really like designer jeans and when Rock and Republic started selling at Bloomingdale's I had my eye on them. I usually only buy designer when it goes on sale, but these jeans had the awesomest color to them and they looked amazing that I was willing to pay the price tag. First of all, Rock & Republic Jeans are made for giants. They are so so long. I am 5'5 and I had an excess of about 8 inches that would fold over. Usually when I have long jeans I wear really high platform shoes or heels, but unless I had stilts it would not do with these jeans. Eventually I had them hemmed and could were them without looking ridiculous... but the hemming added $16 plus tax to the price tag. It didn't matter.... I looked beautiful and smokin hot in the jeans. They had a tight worn feel to them as if they had been washed several times. But this ended up resulting in Valentine's Day disaster. My boyfriend had come to my house to pick me up to go on our Valentine's Day date. I was wearing my R&R Jeans and looking great. He opens the door to the car and I fall in like I always do... his seats are a little low and so I usually squat a little and then fall into the seat. But this time it didn't go so smoothly. As I fell into the seat I hear RIP! OMG!!! I get out and feel the back of my leg... the jeans had ripped right under my butt. I felt like a fat girl, but I wasn't weighing more from when I bought them. It was the fact that the jeans were so soft and worn plus my stretch and fall that caused my very expensive jeans to rip =( These engineered to look worn jeans have consequences =(
