I have been using Robitussin since I was a small child with frequent respiratory infections including colds, bronchitis and pneumonia. Now granted, some of these kinds of infection require medications and medical treatment BEYOND Robitussin. However, my family doctor always recommended Robitussin as well to help deal with the symptoms of coughing and congestion. I can still remember my dad giving me this medicine on a spoon, and it always helped so much! Now that I'm an adult and married, I give this medicine to my husband when he catches a cold. It helps relieve his congestion so that he can get a good night's sleep. Now he finds it so helpful that he asks me to get him some whenever he is sick. When you've got a cold or similar infection, this medicine allows you to actually sleep, by relieving the congestion and reducing the coughing that has been preventing you from sleeping in teh first place. I strongly recommend!
