Dr. Summers works with Mercy Health Partners here in Ohio. I first went to him after enduring the one of the worst experiences a woman can have. I lost my first child in the second trimester of my pregnancy. Unlike other doctors, Dr. Summers took the time to listen to my story. He sat patiently in the exam room and didn't interrupt, did not tell me it would be okay, and did not say it just happens. He did not wait until I suffered more losses before ordering blood tests to discover why this happened. Those blood tests revealed I had a blood clotting disorder. It did take a long time to figure out how to handle that disorder. Five losses later, we did figure out that plan. I was treated like royalty during that pregnancy. Rushed in for an ultrasound only a day after I called them. No waiting a week or month for the appointment. Right after the ultrasound I had my official doctor's appointment too. No putting it off for a month or two. Each time I visited Dr.Summers, I had a huge list of questions and concerns. Not once did he act in a hurried manner just to get me out of the room. He listened to each thought and worry I had. He answered every question with kindness and concern. He scheduled me weekly appointments to help calm our fears and to take extra care of this child. At 20 weeks, I started dialating and Dr. Summers took immediate action. He rushed me to a hospital with a high risk OB and I had surgery that day. If Dr. Summers had not taken the time to do so, I would have lost another child. He saved my son that day. Twelve weeks later, my amniotic fluid went low, yet another condition. Dr. Summers consulted with the specialist from that hospital again. He had a part in once again saving my son. Without his kindness, compassion, and listening skills that he uses in his practice, my son would not be sleeping in the next room. Without he determination to find out what is wrong with his patients, I would not be able to hold that baby each day. He saved my child. He helped a defenseless baby survive long enough to be born into this world. I am forever in his debt and would reccommend him to anyone.
