In the winter, my slow cooker goes at least twice a week if not more.  I make everything I can in it.  I actually have three sizes depending on what I plan to fix at the time.  I have collected so many recipes just for slow cookers that I do very little other cooking in the winter besides slow cooking.  Using it a couple times a week gives me plenty of left overs for the other days of the week.  My hubby always walks in the house and says "what smells so good" and of course, I tell him it's the slow cooker that's been going all day.  Because I work most days, it has been a life-saver when I'm too tired to do anything when I get home.  My life would not be the same with out my slow cookers!
