I always go with the downside first so I can get to the good stuff. I wish I had bought one with the glass lid. I never even considered the benefits to that but I find myself taking the lid off way too often just to get a look at whats cooking. I also understand that you can buy them digital now. Seems I didn't do my homework. Now for the upside. The skillet was a great price for a person on a budget. It doesn't take up a lot of extra space like some of the ones with the huge curvy legs. The nonstick is true and it washes easily. temperature holds pretty much the way it should so I am not constantly turning it up or down. I wish the cord was just a little longer but that's not a problem. Food cooks evenly and chicken fries up very crisp. Lots of room for things like fajitas or other fillings and will easily handle 6 slices of bacon followed by 5 eggs. Completely submersible makes it an easy clean up and after a yr of use the non stick is not cracking or peeling.I like that I can just carry it outside without any problem, plug it up and cook sides for company while other food is on the grill. Great for a large amount of dip and can be set to just keep that warm for quite awhile.
