When it's working right, it's impressive. Unfortunately, there are problems with the Rival fryer. Reviewers note issues with the power cord coming loose, the lid popping open, and the Rival fryer fails to reach and maintain heat levels are a few uses in many cases. it's great for football

This deep fryer is perfect for making wings for football parties! We get the big bag from Sams and it has been wonderful. Easy to clean, easy to use! I have had this fryer for quite a few months. I bought it from wal mart and fell in love with it. I love chicken nuggets and french fries. Rival Deep Fryer Not the Best buy...........

I found the Rival Deep Fryer to be very Difficult to keep clean!!! Which can drive u nuts there are so many little creases that just don't stay clean... The lid Does not secure Properly leaving it a danger it can pop up very easyily. Making this deep fryer Dangerous and messy!!! I don't recommend this product, There are many other deep fryers at resonable prices for different bugets.

I recieved this fryer for a wedding present and I initially thought it was great but after using it a few times I realized all my food was soggy instead of crisp and crunchy. The lid kept far to much heat in the fryer causing the food to be mushy.

I am not very happy with my Rival deep fryer. Sure it worked good for about a month , then in the middle of cooking fried chicken it just stopped working.

Although the picture looks very enticing, beware! The minute that I got this fryer home I couldn't wait to get it open. Well I decided to fry some chicken in it and everything started off ok until after the 2nd batch. The lid kept popping up and no matter what I tried it just would'nt stay down. So I decided to move it a little because I thought that it was not getting enough circulation for the steam to escape while it was on the counter and as soon as I did that the plug fell out! Needless to say I took it back to Wal- mart the very next day and told them it was defective.
