Comments about Rival Crockery:
Very good no-frills slow cooker.
Time to Heat
A little slow heating up but not a big issue.
Even-cooking although if food is left too long on the High setting there can be burning on the bottom. I do adjust my recipes for less time on the High setting, compensating by longer time on the Low setting. Soups and stews should be made thick and can be diluted with water prior to serving.
Ease of Cleaning
Cleaning the stoneware liner is usually easy, especially during the first year or so of use. Later it seems food tends to adhere a little more. The manual says not to put the liner into the dishwasher but I do with no apparent harm. If the liner does not come completely clean I just use a scrubie on the stubborn areas.
Ease of Use
Could not be easier: Off, Low or High settings.
Attractive stainless-steel-type base with glass lid. The stoneware liner is dark brown. The setting knob is black plastic. I do think adding a Medium temperature setting might make the appliance more versatile.
I have had it for about five years with no problems, and I have used it frequently.
