I have used a Rival 4 qt crock- pot for years and I always had to cut up my chicken into pieces and cut a large roast in two, three or more pieces.  I LOVE THIS new Rival 7 quart CROCK POT. The first thing I cooked in it was a large roast with four whole potatoes and a pound of carrots, and it looked like there was room to fit twice as much food in it. A  LARGE stewing chicken fits with room to spare. There's only two of us (empty nesters) so I crock pot meal lasts several days, I put the removable crock with lid in my refridgerator. Easy clean up when you're done too. Lots of recipes that can be found online -  I can't wait to try. I might try baking bread in it when it's too hot to use the oven (live in Florida). The family favorite so far is Taco Chicken - so easy. Remove skin, sprinkle package of taco seasoning all over the chicken. Low fat too with skin and extra lumps of fat removed from bird.  GREAT product.
