This crock Pot is amazing. I love that it has diffrent time settings on it. It totally helps. I work for a living and don't have the luxury of staying at home...which i so wish i could because i enjoy making my family good meals. Sooo with the crock pot i can either pre the food at night or i the morning...depending on what i am making. When i get home my house smells wonderful. ANd my husband is in hog heaven because he doesn't have to have chicken and rice again for dinner, I also get lots of complements from him on everything i have cooked in it. The little diper that comes with it is really...

Rival Slow Cooker 8 quart

large enough for lots of stuff

I've never owned a slow cooker and was a bit concerned after reading that Rival slow cookers received significantly lower ratings than other brands of slow cookers. This one works like a charm. I was also concerned because I read that older models of slow cookers cooked more slowly on low, and that some newer slow cookers cooked at a heat that was too high.

Not to worry. On low, it's exactly that. Perfect and slow and will cook roasts to perfection in 8-10 hours. On high, it works perfectly too. It's a lovely looking black ceramic stoneware insert too. I'm...

not very handy, appreciates good food, Homeowner, fun loving, simple is good, appreciate nice things

I'm not a great cook, I admit it. I've never quite gotten the knack of melding ingredients together. When there's X, Y, and Z in the dish, you can identify each and every one.

That is, unless I use my Rival Crock Pot! There's something about slow-cooking that tenderizes and brings out flavors that otherwise remain hidden. I'm able to cook up a batch of food that lasts for days. I can still be creative with the side dishes so that we're not eating the same thing day after day. One day it's over noodles, the next with rice or mashed potatoes, or some dishes can stand alone.

The Rival Crock Pot allows...

This slow cooker is awesome. I use it to make soups, roasts, chilis, and many one pot dinners. Put your stuff on in the morning, and when you come home from work supper is done and ready. So easy to clean.

I have this Crock Pot but my crock insert is white instead of black. I bought this slow cooker probably in the late 1990s. I own three slow cookers (the Rival 3-1/2-quart oval and the Rival 6-quart), and this is the best one and the one I use the most. It is 2-1/2 quarts and is perfect for two people. It cooks the best out of all three of my slow cookers as it does not overcook the food as the other two will. I find that the cooking times listed in most slow cooker cookbooks are very accurate for this Crock Pot, but for my other two larger models, I must reduce the cooking time. I have never...

Rival 6 quart crock pot

Rival 6 quart crock pot

We had to replace our old crock pot because the cord on our old one disconnected and we had had it for years any ways. So we bought this rival six quart crockpot to replace it. It is a great crockpot.  Its not as good as the crockpot brand crockpot that we had but it still does a good job.  It is oval shaped with a silver base and a black oval  insert.  It came with a cord that you put over the handles and over the top that allows the pot and lid to stay in place so that you don't have to worry about it when you take it with you to family gatherings or parties.  We  use it to make...

At first glance, I love the deep burgundy color and its oval shape. It cooks wonderfully and evenly. The food doesn't even stick. It has three settings, warm, low and high. Just set it and forget it. It is also very easy to clean. I have never had a crockpot that is this easy to clean with its stoneware liner being and added feature that is great. Plus, it has a removable server where you can take it directly from the pot to the table. And it holds its heat very well. The food stays warm and the bowl is very attractive to complement any table setting. It is very durable and sturdy. This is a product...

The Crockpot is almost a kitchen in itself. I have been able to cook a number of recipes in it from soups, main dishes to desserts. This is surely a one pot cooker and will cook almost anything you want to cook in it. What I really like about it, is that you can put all ingredients in it, set it and leave it until the time that you need it. Its great to fix breakfast casseroles in overnight and when you are ready for it the next morning, breakfast is ready for you. The core of the pot can be removed and placed in the bottom of the dishwasher and is very easily cleaned.

RIVAL is THE name in Slow Cookers..I do believe others make a good one..but for years that is the brand I always end up buying ..I begin looking with an open mind..and Rival is what I buy...The removal stoneware is what to buy..Prepare in it..cook in it..and store in it..Great!!

So super easy .. saves time ..Throw whatever you want for dinner in the slow cooker...Go about your day..and dinner is ready when you are..I love mine..and cannot do without it..

Remember be creative..and use it to the max...You will be pleased...

I am a busy Mom with 2 little girls & a hard working husband who loves to have dinner on the table when he gets home from work!  I use my rival crock pot 7 quart at least 2 nights a week.  It is so nice to be out & about & know that when you get home dinner will be ready in the crockpot! The plus side is that the whole house smells terrific as well!

My daughter's favorite is meatballs. My favorite treat to make is crockpot apple sauce or apple butter!!!  The pot is the perfect size for portions. I can make enough for one dinner & freeze leftovers for another! Or I can use it for parties...
