I'm not a great cook, I admit it. I've never quite gotten the knack of melding ingredients together. When there's X, Y, and Z in the dish, you can identify each and every one.
That is, unless I use my Rival Crock Pot! There's something about slow-cooking that tenderizes and brings out flavors that otherwise remain hidden. I'm able to cook up a batch of food that lasts for days. I can still be creative with the side dishes so that we're not eating the same thing day after day. One day it's over noodles, the next with rice or mashed potatoes, or some dishes can stand alone.
The Rival Crock Pot allows some flexibility with its controls. There are two settings each for High and Low temperatures allowing you to cook for either 4-6-8-10 hours, depending on the recipe or the time you have available. I've been able to adjust recipes that call for ten hours of cook time for a quicker six hours with good results.
Most appliances that I own get put away after each use. However, I'm proud to have the Rival Crock Pot permanently sitting on my kitchem counter, always at the ready.
