Rival Crock Pot - Slow Cooker 4.5 Quart SCR450 Review

Rival SCR450 4.5 quart slow cooker is perfect for the couple on the go. You can put supper on to cook and go about your day. Then come home and supper is done. We have added pot roast and vegetalbes to our slow cooker then went to work. When we return home, we are able to sit down to a good home cooked meal without taking the time to cook. The key is to use the low settings and plenty of liquid. My preference is beef broth but water will work as well. A drawback is it could be a fire hazard if you do not put enough liquid into the food. The drying out will scorch the food and can cause a fire.

The drawback to this appliance is the size. It is wonderful for one to two people but it is not practical for a family. The amount of food would just not be sufficient to feed a family. The size is a benefit for a couple it cooks just enough food for two so there is little waste. It also does not require a good deal of room to store on to even keep on top of a counter.
