I have previously and in the past purchased and used this Rival Cool Touch Two Slice Toaster and although it did its job as far as toasting toast I was not really impressed with it. First of all it seemed to me in my opinion to have been cheaply made. It was not very durable and it tore up pretty quickly. This is a good toaster for a first time toaster or maybe for a dorm room since it is really small. Do not expect to toast larger items as the only thing I found I could fit in it was regular sliced bread and pop tarts. You will not be able to make bagels in this product. Now the good thing I found about this Rival Cool Touch Two Slice Toaster is first the price. It is very affordable but I found that I got what I paid for because it was cheaply made and did not last long. One cool thing about this product is the cool touch feature and it never gets hot no mater how many times you use it. I would not really recommend anyone purchase this toaster as I felt I did not get enough use out of it.

The toaster that I had for 10 years broke one day and I was between paydays so I just ran to the store and found this toaster for a very good cheap price and decided that I would give it a try. It does what it says it will do and does toast things, but it is kind of funny and does not always keep its consistency. Sometimes it burns the toast and sometimes it is not cooked enough, even if it is on the same setting. It claims that it has wide slots, but when I try to toast a bagel on it, well it does not fit very well and it is a very tight fit and when it pops up it gets stuck, so I have to push it up of to pull the bagel out of the toaster. The toaster wipes clean pretty easy and it is also pretty easy to get all of the crumbs out of the bottom. I would not recommend this toaster if it is something that you plan on using everyday, but if you are in a bind and have to get a quick one to use until you can afford a better quality one, this one will do for the time being.

I used this toaster all throughout college and it works great. Use it for bread, english muffins, bagels and frozen waffles. Thick bagels do not toast all that great but regular sized are just fine. Toasting Evenness This toaster toasts really evenly, the whole food item is warm right through the center and there is never any burned spots (I don't ever go past medium though). Safety Safety has never been an issue with this toaster, it never burns anything. The metal parts do get hot as expected and the bottom is metal so don't pick it up and move it right after you toast something and don't set it on top of papers or anything. Durability I have never tested its durability limits but it is durable enough to last four years in a college but not so sure how it would hold up with children, it is plastic and may crack easier than others. Design This toaster's design is simple, plain, not flashy. It is small and compact so it does not draw a lot of attention to it.

Unfortunately, this toaster has been discontinued, but there are others that are very similar. We got this toaster from my husbands parents when our old one broke. This has one of THE coolest features called a Cool Touch. It cools down very quickly after use to avoid accidents, accidents that can be easily caused by hot appliances. With this there is not that worry. The openings for the bread slices are nice and wide. Big enough you can put a bagel half in each side and it not get stuck. The settings are simple, like most all toasters, nothing fancy on this one. The price seems great, even though I did not actually purchase it myself, affordable none the less. Cleaning it is very easy as theres a tray that all the crumbs fall down into that you can easily get out from the bottom. It seems pretty durable also as I accidentally knocked it off our counter when I was cleaning. I was so worried I broke it that I tried it out right away and there seemed to be no problems. So overall, for the price, this is a great toaster!

Great Toaster at Reasonable Price. It toasts bread. Plus it warms pop tarts and heats up toaster struddels. The cancel button is great if I am in a hurry and decide to remove it fast. My last toaster did not have that function and I dont know how I lived without it. The look isnt very beautiful but it gets the job done. The mutiple settings make it better for different tastes and desires. The insert lever is very sturdy and lasts with children around using it. It doesn't take up too much space on counter either. The crumb tray does not always catch all the crumbs but neither did my old toaster so more than likely no toaster is going to be prefect. It would be nice if the company made these in other colors besides white.

Well, what can you really say about a toaster? It toasts a mean bagel! It is actually a very good model, and I have had it for a few years now, so it does last. It has adjustable settings, and a release button, which is a great feature. Bagels fit nicely, and it toasts evenly and consistently. I toast all kinds of items in it, including bagels, large and small slices of bread, toster strudels, pop tarts, waffles and other breakfast items. Everything fits well and does not tend to get stuck. There is a removable tray in the bottom which provides a quick and easy way to clean the unit. It is a standard design, nothing fancy. It comes in black and white, which ever matches your kitchen decor. Gotta love toast!!

The Rival brand 2-Slice Toaster can stand up to the rest of the toasters in your walmart isle. It is very minimal looking (which I think is great), it has a turning knob on it that goes from one to ten and a lever to push the toast into the appliance. It is easy to clean and has a very smooth texture. On setting number three, it is almost too much for plain white bread. It can fit anything from pre-slice bread, ego waffles, bagels, and poptarts. Some of the thicker things that you would normally put into a toaster will not fit so easily. One of the things I was disappointed in about this product is that there is no push release on it. It almost feels like you are forcing it back up if your toaster item is done and hasn't popped up yet. Other than that, I love the little Rival 2-slice toaster. I would recommend this to someone that is looking for something inexpensive that still gets the job done. 4 out of 5 stars.

A friend gave me this toaster several years ago. I'm not sure why she got rid of it because it still works great! I've been using it for 3 years so far so I believe the Rival 2-Slice Toaster is definitely made to last. So far (knock on wood) I've loved the Rival brand because it does it's function and is typically lower priced than other brands. It's a very simple design and doesn't have any bells or whistles. Pop the toast, bagels or whatever in, make sure its at the correct setting, push down and wait...that's it. My daughter was able to start using it when she was 5. The only issue I have had with the Rival 2-Slice Toaster is that it isn't very roomy, and you have to cram bagels into it and use something (like a fork) to get them out.

Purchased the Rival 2 slice toaster a year back and very happy with it. It is a basic, small, lightweight and easy to use toaster good for small families and households. The price was very low compared to other toasters on the market, but even for the low price it does its job well. Agreed it is not very fancy to look at , but it is a great value  It leaves the bread evenly toasted and there is a cancel button if you accidentaly set it on a higher setting and want to stop it in between.  The crumb tray can be easily removed and cleaned and put back on . As far as the negative points go, there is no special setting for Bagels so people who want that might not be happy with this toaster . Also the cord is a little too short and I would have preferred it to be longer for easier use.  Mostly if you are looking for a basic bread toaster without spending a lot of money the Rival 2 slice does the job perfectly !
