Rival 6 quart slow cooker Review

A few years ago I bought a Rival 6 quart crock pot and I have never regretted it. I have been known to prep a meal the night before going to bed, set it in the morning, and have a fabulous dinner the next night. It really makes life really easy for me. I love the large oval shape--perfect for a roast or a giant soup or stew. And I absolutely love that the crock is removable so it can be easily cleaned. I do find that the HIGH setting is extremely high, and that if you are going to have to leave something for over 6 hours, you really need to be there to turn it from LOW to WARM, or things will start to stick to the crock or dry out. 

I also cannot say enough--if you have never used a crock pot, don't be afraid of it. This crock is very forgiving. Throw in frozen meat, a bunch of veggies, and some liquid and it will become dinner. To clean, throw the crock in the sink, fill it with water and soap, and in the morning you can just wipe it out. Easy as anything.
