The Rival 5 qt stainless steel Countdown Smart-Pot slow cooker is horrible and I am  having nothing but problems with mine, so maybe it's defective, but after seeing reviews on other sites I don't think so.

This crock-pot runs way too hot, whether it's on low or high. If you so much as nudge the stoneware...

I have had this rival crock pot for about 9 years, I absolutley could not live with out it. The possibilities are endless. Whether it's to make meals, keep food warm, or take to parties, it has been the item I take out of my pantry at least once a week. Now when the weather gets cooler, starting now I use the Rival crockpot more often. With a busy family of 7 this has been so helpfull.I can get the vegtables cut up the night before if I'm making a beef stew or other meal that has vegtables. In the morning I can cut up the meat if it's still defrosting. By the way it's easier to cut meat if it's...

My mom bought me this Crock Pot as a "thank you" for taking my grandmother to her doctor's appointments and in-general helping out the family.  I'd had an older stonewear type model that I'd used for years that I thought - mistakenly - was the best of the best... until I used this one.  It cleans up SO MUCH better than the older model, seems to heat more evenly and I love the WARM setting - as opposed to the just OFF/LOW/HI that the older model had.

Both models claimed to be dishwasher friendly, but the round shape of this version - as opposed to the oval shape of the old one - made it fit in...

You can borrow money from me, but not my Crock Pot!

I love my Rival brand crock-pot!  I have had it for over 15 years.  Imagine that!  Most things these days don't even last 1 year much less 15 years.  I have used it when I was busy working so that I would have a meal when I got home, used it for family gatherings, and parties.  I even let someone borrow it, only one time, but yes I did let it get borrowed.  I was so nervous when I did this because I was afraid I wouldn't get it back.  You never know, even best friends sometimes let you down.  I think I would rather loan money than my...

When I first decided to purchase the Rival 6 quart crock pot, I wondered if I would every use it enough to qarrant the cost of the item and I found out in a quick hurry why I purchased the crock pot.  I use it at least 2 to 3 times a week for different dishes.  It is so quick and easy to use.  I have tried it meat loaf, chicken, pot roasts.etc.  I have even used it for different desserts such as brownies, apple and peach cobblers, berry cobblers.   I can not tell you how much I have enjoyed the Rival 6 quart crock pot.  My 14 year old daughter has put quite a few dishes in it and finds it...

We had to replace our old crock pot because the cord on our old one disconnected and we had had it for years any ways. So we bought this rival six quart crockpot to replace it. It is a great crockpot.  Its not as good as the crockpot brand crockpot that we had but it still does a good job.  It is oval shaped with a silver base and a black oval  insert.  It came with a cord that you put over the handles and over the top that allows the pot and lid to stay in place so that you don't have to worry about it when you take it with you to family gatherings or parties.  We  use it to make...

I purchased my first Rival crock pot when I married, 40 years ago and have used

it faithfully over the years.  When children were young and I worked fulltime I

put dinner in the Rival crock pot and when i returned after working all day my

dinner was ready for the family of 5.  I highly recommend Rival crock pot to

everyone, especially busy young families fo America.

This crock pot is great, just turn to high or low and go!  It cooks mixed meals perfectly. I put in some leg quarters, fresh cut up carrots. red potatoes, cilantro, onion, red bell pepper and seasoning salt with garlic. Stayed away for about 6 hours and when I returned my meal was done.  The only thing I added later was a pan of jiffy corn bread.  UUMMMM UUUMMM GOOD!

I love the way you're able to place your ingredients from the recipe in the crockpot, set on slow setting and have your complete dinner ready in 4 hours.
