Ritz Chips are addictive

By

from Rock Island, IL

Comments about Ritz - Toasted Chips Main Street Original:

Ritz Chips is a good alternative to anything in the Potato Chip isle.  It also give you the opportunity for variety.  I have used these chips with a variety of my dips that I make.  They are also easy to roll up and seal so the chips stay fresh.  They do get crumbly.  You need a napkin when you eat them.  Kind of Salty.  But overall, very great tasting and a great snack

I often take these with on out of town trips.  They go good in the carry on bag on airplanes and also a handy bag in the car.  They are very good just to eat plain.  I also sometimes but them in a baggie and take them with me for a lunch time extra.  The crunchiness give it that extra originality.  I really like these better than the Ritz Crackers (except with making Ritz peanut butter sandwiches)

They can be pricy when not on sale.  So when they do, I try to at least buy a couple to have on hand.  Sometimes the experation date seems to come too fast.

Overall, I would definitely keep buying them and recommending them.  Very good snack...just try not to eat the whole bag.

These are the best chip ever

By

from Columbus, OH

Comments about Ritz - Toasted Chips Main Street Original:

These chips are the closest thing to a perfect balance of sweet and salty. (Although, they tend to lean slightly too salty so liquid with them is a necessity). I can eat a bag by myself in a sitting.

(Written by a 13 yr old)

These are our compromise of 'chips'. They are baked & not too junky - so the guilt factor is off as a parent for him to sit & munch on them (he's a swimmer & enjoys them during swim meets between events as they're not too heavy). I enjoy them with hummus or cheese as part of a light lunch.

A good family 'chip'.

Ritz is a Hitz: Toasted Wheat Chips Rich in Omega-3 Low in Fat

By

from Houston, TX

Comments about Ritz - Toasted Chips Main Street Original:

There's a new snack "chip" cracker in town, the **Ritz Toasted Chips Main Street Original**.

What are **Ritz Toasted Chips Main Street Original?  **These are snack crackers that are more like a chip than a cracker.  They have 55% less fat than leading potato chips and 240 mg ALA omega-3 fatty acids per serving from soybean oil.  They are baked, not fried.  This chips are shaped like a rectangle.

What isn't so great about **Ritz Toasted Chips Main Street Original**

- they make me thirsty with 250 mg of sodium in every serving of approximately 16 chips
- they are in a bag, which makes them break and crumble easily

What is great about **Ritz Toasted Chips Main Street Original**.

- low saturated fat (4.5 grams per serving)
- no cholesterol
- 0 g trans fat per serving
- baked not fried
- made with wheat
- easy to reseal bag to keep them fresh - come with its on tab to roll and seal

***My Viewpoint***: As with many snack cracker, sodium is an issue even in this healthier treat. The **Ritz Toasted Chips Main Street Original** do taste good and we have used them with soups, pepperoni and cheese, spinach dip and chili con queso.  They are crispy, crunchy and better for you than most chips and crackers. They are more expensive though.  One other very interesting fact is regarding recycling, Nabisco has started their own recycling program, that the packages these come in are part of called Terra Cycle where packages like these are being recycled to produce backpacks, totes and pencil cases, so they are not only good for you, but hopefully good for the environment too.

~ Had to wrestle the bag away from the kids just to get a photo -- they are well liked.
