Barely any relief/not my first choice for a cough drop.
Ricola usually isn't my first choice for cough drops, but the cherry honey flavor sounded like it would be good, and I wanted to try something new so I picked them up instead of my usual cough drops. The Ricola Cherry Honey Cough Drops are meant to relieve minor throat irritations, but I feel like they didn't work that well at all. Maybe my sore throat was too severe, or maybe these weren't strong enough to tackle a real cold/cough...The menthol and honey did soothe my throat slightly but not enough to keep me from coughing. It felt like a very small temporary relief. I definitely wouldn't recommend these if you have a bad cough or sore throat. I would probably recommend these as a sucking candy for when you have a slightly scratchy throat, or your throat is iffy from allergies. Also like I said I was originally interested in this for it's flavor, because I love anything cherry flavored but the flavor wasn't all that great. It was a weird mix of honey, cherry, and menthol. It had a weird medicinal flavor to it, which I'm sure some people might like. This is definitely not my first choice for a cough drop, and I probably won't be purchasing it again. Congestion Relief They didn't give me any sort of nasal or chest congestion relief. Chest Congestion Relief I didn't feel like these has any type of chest congestion relief. Relief of Aches & Pains These are not meant for the relief of aches and pains. Cough Suppression It had very minimal relief. I felt like is helped to reduce my coughs, but not completely, and not well enough for a severe sore throat. It was better then nothing at all but I probably would not use this again, unless I had a very minor cough.
