Only Aluminum Foil Brand We Use

5

We use Reynolds aluminum foil for baking, covering leftovers, and much more. We even used it to wrap our duck for Thanksgiving and Christmas. This aluminum foil never riped and kept the moisture in. Our duck was a big hit for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. Reynolds is the only brand of aluminum foil we use. Great quality and great price.

Great Replacement for Standard Foil

4

I use aluminum foil all the time while cooking and baking so when I saw that Reynolds now carries 100% Recycled Aluminum Foil I knew it was meant to be. I try to buy eco-friendly products as often as I can but they can often be cost prohibitive or just plain not work as well as the original. Thankfully neither is the case when it comes to this recycled foil. I'd say this performs just as well as regular Reynolds foil when using it for things such as wrapping potatoes for baking on the grill, covering pots and pans instead of using a pot specific cover, and using underneath items to prevent spills when baking them on a cookie sheet in the oven. What this is not great at is things such as roasting veggies. It's NOT nonstick like their nonstick foil which specifically states that it is nonstick. This is just standard foil and things WILL stick to it. Don't even think about trying to roasted potatoes on it or bake fish sticks or tater tots on it, even after spraying it with cooking spray. Things WILL stick. So, this is a great replacement for standard foil, but it is not a replacement for their nonstick foil.

Good Aluminum Foil

I really like using natural products, so when I saw Reynolds Warp 100% Recycled Aluminum Foil, I decided to give it a try. The box worked well to tear off the Aluminum Foil. Some containers do not have the right kind of grooves to tear off the foil, which always annoys me! I use this aluminum foil from everything to covering containers when I put them in the refrigerator to covering cooking dishes when I place items in the oven, so they aren't as hard to wash. This aluminum foil is as strong as any other aluminum foil. It doesn't tear easily, and I have never had any problems with food leaking thru the foil. It is also a good price. I don't think it cost anything more than the Aluminum foils I typically purchase. Another thing that makes this a great purchase is that you can find it at pretty much any larger grocery store. I even had a coupon that I was able to use the first time I purchased this Aluminum Foil.

Foil is ok!!

My preference among all aluminum foil is Reynolds Wrap. I have the heavy duty on hand to help with items such as grilling or roasting a turkey. Reynolds Wrap is a bit pricey, so when they came out with this 100% recycled aluminum, I was ready to give it a try. It is a good aluminum foil, but it is very thin. It will easily tear so it isn't necessarily good for heavy duty jobs such as grilling. It is ok for baking potatoes. This wrap is alot less expensive but most often times, you get what you pay for. This foil roll is 50 sq. ft. and I believe after the coupon I used, it ended up costing around .75. It is a good product and Reynolds Wrap has found a way to help the consumer with everyday purchases with products such as these. I appreciate the fact that Reynolds Wrap tries to help the everyday consumer by giving them choices with less expensive items. I recommend this product as a good alternative to the more expensive wraps.

I am happy with Reynolds 100% Recycled Aluminum Foil

I prefer to store food in containers that I can wash and refuse to use plastic wrap, but when I must wrap something (or can't find a lid), I use Reynolds Wrap 100% Recycled Aluminum foil. I am happy with this product as is, but a 5 star rating would be forthcoming if it was cheaper and came in a larger roll than 50ft so that packaging would be less wastefull.

Tried it - didn't care for it

Although I am all for "going green" and using recycled products, it's not worth it to me if the recycled product isn't as good as a nonrecycled product I am currently using.  The same applies to Reynolds 100% Aluminum Foil.  It wasn't even half as good as their heavy duty foil.  And only slightly better or the same as their regular foil.  The feel of it is "off" - it doesn't have the shine and feel of the regular or heavy duty aluminum foil.  And I don't understand why - if it's recycled foil - I am paying more for it than for regular foil.  I thought recycled products would cost less since they are not starting from scratch.  I am paying more because for the same  price as a roll of heavy duty fifty foot foil, I am only getting thirty five feet of foil.  I don't mind getting less with the heavy duty than with the regular for the same price since the quality is higher.  In this case the quality is not higher.  It works the way any foil would work, I guess.  Perhaps the main problem for me is the cost and it just doesn't "feel" right.

Reynolds Recycled Aluminum Foil is just as good

I am a big fan of being eco-friendly and doing my part to reduce waste. I was so excited when I found Reynolds Recycled Aluminum Foil! Reynolds 100% Recycled Aluminum Foil is great for the environment for obvious reasons-- it is made from 100% recycled products, meaning that you aren't using fresh resources everytime you want to cover up a pie or plate of leftover in the fridge. Even the box is 100% recycled and the ink used to print the boxes is water based, again so much better for the environment. I love to try environmentally friendly products and always try to go in without doubt, which I did with this product. I was pleasantly surprised when I found that Reynolds 100% Recycled Aluminum Foil is just as good as the non-recycled variety. I found that it came out of the box just the same, cut from the box just the same and was just as effective at covering up food--it easily conformed to bowls and dishes without becoming overly crumpled. In terms of price, this foil is just slightly more expensive, but not enough to make an impact on your bottom line. I am willing to pay more money to feel like I am helping the environment in even a very small way.

More money, but works well

I have used several boxes of this aluminum foil, mainly because I had coupons for it that made it a bargain to buy.  The quality is just fine for everyday use.  It is not as strong as the "heavy duty" but that's okay, because one rarely needs that much strength.  And it is not labelled as such, anyway.  I like that fact that it uses less resources to make it, but frankly, without coupons, I probably will not buy it because it is more expensive (less square footage per box).  I'll save the Earth in other ways, at this point in my life!  For example, I do not wrap baked potatoes in foil.  There is no need to do so whatsoever.  Potatoes taste better unwrapped.  Just prick them with a fork first to prevent exploding, and think of all the foil and money you will save! However, if you are not as cheap as me, you may as well buy this recycled foil.  It is good quality, and is only a little more money.

Reynolds recycled aluminum foil is a great way to go green !

We're fortunate to have a recycling program in our community and make a conscious effort to do the right thing by recyling our newspapers, cans, glass and plastics. It just makes sense to do this so after reading other Viewpoints members reviews about **Reynolds Wrap 100% Recycled Aluminum Foil** I knew I had to try it. Having a coupon I figured this was a good opportunity to try it as I was curious to see if it would be as strong and durable as regular **Reynolds Wrap Aluminum Foil.  **I'm happy to say, it is in every way !  It's looks as strong and feels as heavy as the original, if you covered or wrapped something using both Wraps I'd dare you to tell the difference.  Reynolds hasn't missed a beat on this one, the foil is 100% recycled as is the paperboard carton, they've even used water based printing inks on the box so this is a very green product. The one drawback is the price, **Reynolds Wrap 100% Recycled Aluminum Foil** is a bit more costly as is the case with many "green" products, having a coupon helped convinced me to buy it but, now I know I'll purchase this again, even at its regular price. When I'm finished with this roll of wrap, it too will go into the recycle bin along with the used and discarded foil. Nice to know it will be reused again in some capacity without clogging landfills. Every little bit does help if we all make an effort. Thanks Reynolds and thanks Viewpoints members for your helpful reviews !

Finally, aluminum foil that's made from recycled aluminum!

5

I try to live as eco-friendly as possible - I recycle my paper, glass, plastic, tin and aluminum, and I also try to buy as many products that are made with recycled materials.  My [Marcal Small Steps Paper Towels][1] are made from 100% recycled materials too.  When I saw that Reynold's finally came out with an aluminum foil made from recycled aluminum, I was excited.  It seems so common-sense, I wonder why it took so long to get on the market? **Reynold's Wrap 100% Recycled Aluminum Foil **says that it is just as strong and durable as traditional Reynold's foil, but made with recycled aluminum.  The package is made with 100% paperboard and water-based inks were used on the packaging.  In total, a very eco-friendly product, and one I'm proud to buy. I use this foil just like I did the regular foil, and see no difference.  The only difference I see is in price.  Unfortunately, **Reynold's Wrap 100% Recycled Aluminum Foil **cost more than their regular foil that is not made with recycled materials.  Seems to me like it should be cheaper, but I don't know what goes on in the production of aluminum foil.  I just don't see very many people spending more on aluminum foil if they don't have to.  If you try to live as eco-friendly as you can, this foil is a great addition to an environmentally-conscious household.  I like it and will definitely continue to buy it even though it's more expensive that traditional foil.  [1]: http://www.viewpoints.com/Marcal-Small-Steps-Paper-Towels--332304-review-46f21
