In one of my spring cleaning sprees, I got rid of all my old plastic food containers that were stained, partially melted (ick), or impossible to match with a lid. I replaced them with these cute little bowls called Reynolds Casuals, made by the foil people. Should be good, right? Wrong. On the good side, these bowls have a little holeĀ on the top with a lid that pops up to let the steam escape when you're reheating in the microwave. And they have wide handles that let you lift the bowl out of the microwave without endangering your fingers. What makes them completely unusable in my opinion is the fact that the lids won't shut--no matter what you do to them! They're supposed to seal so tightly that you can hold them upside down and shake them. Don't try that. Apparently, from what I could see, the design in the lid that makes them seal so tightly is also the very feature that keeps them from sealing at all. I'm throwing them all away, and going back to Rubbermaid. They're more expensive, but at least I can get them closed!

this person is right on with her comments. i had the same result with these pieces of crap. such a simple thing from a brand name you'd THINK would get it right.
