Revolution flea and tick treatment for dogs is a great product!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I first found out about Revolution flea and tick treatment for dogs when I bought my two chihuahuas.  They were my first dogs that I had ever owned so I did not realize they had a food allergy.  They were given the same food the breeder had given them since their birth.  They started losing their hair rapidly and were almost bald.  I took them to the vet and tried all the different shampoos, skin scrapings and medicines he recommended.  I spoke to a vet tech friend who recommended Revolution.  I decided to give it a try since nothing else was working.  Revolution is a prescription medicine so after checking with my vet, he wrote a prescription since he does...

Easy Flea Prevention with added bonus

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I use Revolution for both my cats and my dogs. Both products work great. I love Revolution and buy it because it is one of the few medications that will protect against other things as well as the fleas. I have one cat that is prone to ear-mites and have been using this for years with no issues of the mites returning. A big plus, especially for my cat! Also, I like that Revolution is active on all stages of the flea...not just a flea bug. In my opinion, without killing the egg and larvae there's not a point. I also like that this is odor free instead of being super stinky. I don't get fights from any of my animals when trying to put on this medication. Plus, in comparison to other flea medications this one is pretty competitive if not cheaper in price.

It does not work, it is gentle product, but not effective.

Overall
Rated 1 out of 5

I have 10 lbs, 7 months old, shih tzuI have tried Revolution flea control for my dog more than 4 months.I heard from friend of mine, that Revolution is gentle, never irritate on dog's skin, side effects. And that is very true. There is no side effects as it was described. But it does not work at all.I have caught fleas more than 5 of them on my dog withing 1wk and half after applying the right amount of dosage on back of his neck.I have tried up to 5 lbs one (pink box)and up to 10 lbs one ( purple box).I tried using pink box ( 3 months supply) and it did not work,I assume that it might not be efficient as it can be since he was going over 5 lbs.So I bought another box that fits his weight. And it did not work, he has so many spots that was bitten from flea and has even rashes on his back by scratching so hard.If you care your dog, choose a better product.I am glad that I have got refund from my seller.

Great product

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I have a calico cat and a German Shepherd dog so when I was deciding what type of flea and tick medication to get I had to consider my cat also because some medications are harmful to your other pets and my cat is an indoors cat so we don't give her any flea and tick stuff. I talked to the vet and they gave me revolution. I love it because it is not harmful to my cat and I don't have to try and make my dog eat some nasty smelling or nasty tasting pill. I have used revolution for 5 years now and I have never had a flea or tick problem. It is also a lot cheaper than other medications.

Revolution: Great Preventative for Cats & Dogs

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

We have been using Revolution for over a year on our 2 cats and our Chihuahua. I like that Revolution does it all: flea AND heartworm prevention. When you have multiple animals like I do, it is nice to be able to keep it simple. Giving a pill can be difficult so I like that Revolution is a topical ointment instead. The tricky part for some people using Revolution is that you must apply Revolution to the SKIN and not on the fur of the animal otherwise it can be rendered ineffective. But if you can do that you are in good shape. We tried all the other flea treatments on our Chihuahua and she still itched, so finally we tried Revolution and that is the one treatment that keeps fleas off her ...

Revolution Flea & Tick Treatment is the only way to go!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I have two poodles, one miniature and one toy, and they are both on Revolution Flea and Tick Treatment. The vet sold us a package of it when we took them in to get their first shots and we have been using for the last two years. It couldn't be any easier!! It is very easy to use and I can purchase from my local vet whenever I run out. There are six doses in each package so it lasts for three months.

We live in a rural area so fleas and especially ticks are a problem for us and our dogs. We have our yard treated each spring but fleas and ticks are resourceful little creatures!!! It has worked like a charm for the last two years and we will continue to purchase as long as it works.

One of the things that drew me to this product was the fact that it protects against not only against fleas and ticks but also ear mites. You get more protection for your money and it is so easy to use. I highly recommend this product.

Revolution kills fleas and ticks in 1 day!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

This flea and tick medication is easy to use. Just grab your cat by the neck (that sounds bad!!), and squeeze the proper dosage at the neck, so the cat can't reach that area and lick. Once I had fleas all over my bedroom by my bed. I don't know where they came from, but I kept vacuuming them up and spraying them. I got the Revolution on my cat. Within 1-2 days, all I saw on my cat was dead fleas. The fleas in the room had jumped onto the cat and the Revolution killed them. This medication also kills flea eggs, and CERTAIN ticks. It will not kill deer ticks. These are the tiny ones...and I mean TINY. It also helps prevent heartworms, so it repells moquitoes. I have been using this for a few years now. It seems to work. I don't even use it on my cat monthly. I probably end up using it about 4 months out of a year. It really works that well.

I have also used this for dogs, and again, I would recommend it. It also costs about the same as other brands, yet works better.

Revolution is an all-in-one treatment for my cats!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

Since first taking our cats to the vet, they have both been on Revolution Flea Treatment (the cat version does not protect against ticks). Revolution may be a bit more expensive than other flea treatments but when you account for the extra benefits, it is definitely worth the cost.  This is very gentle flea treatment with no side effects. It never irritates my cats' skins and it dries very quickly to avoid them licking it off. Revolution doesn't just protect against fleas; it also prevents heartworm, ear mites, hookworm and roundworm. This makes it very cost effective for the protection received. When we got our second cat, he was infested with fleas. We bought a treatmen...

I like that you get heart guard, flea and tick in one stop

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I moved from Colorado to Oklahoma (why, oh why?).   Colorado does not have fleas.  Ticks are only picked up in the mountains and are fairly rare.  Heartworm is almost non-existent.  I was very surprised when the Wal-Mart drops and flea collar did not prevent my dogs from getting fleas!!  UGH.

One of my co-workers recommended Revolution, and we've been pretty happy with it.  My big dog still picks up ticks, but I don't think I use enough of the medication on him, as he's just outside the largest size and I'm too cheap to double dose him.  Both dogs (big and medium) still seem to pick up fleas, but the fleas can't "set up camp" so to speak.  ...

Revolution a great overall product for cats.

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I have been using Revolution for a few years now.  It is a great all in one product for cats.  It protects against all major parasites that will affect the health of my cats.  I prefer it over other products because it does do everything and it is easy to use.  I noticed with other topical treatments that the product leaves a residue for longer then a couple of hours.  With Revolution the residue is gone within about two hours.  This product is FDA approved which means it has gone through all safety tests.  I feel more comfortable knowing that it has gone through all these testings and that my cats are safe with Revolution.  My veternarians recommend it also which also makes me feel comfortable knowing that they would use this product on their own cat.  It is worth the cost for all of the parasites it protects against.  Other products are only EPA regulated which means it does not go through all of the testings that this product has gone through.

Easy and effective

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

We just recently made the switch from Frontline and HeartGuard to Revolution for our dog.  Our vet suggested it because it was cheaper than buying both of the other medications.  It was very easy to apply (same manner as Frontline), and seemed a little less oily.  It was nice to have just one medication to buy and give to the dog.  Unfortunately though, for the pup, it isn't a tasty treat to look forward to like the HeartGuard.  So far, it seems to be effective for preventing bugs.  We've spent quite a bit of time outside and gone camping once.  Another plus is that Revolution prevents other worms as well as ear mites.  We weren't treating for either of those issues previously, but it's an added bonus to have already built in to the medication.  I have already recommended it to my family and friends who are pet owners and will continue to do so.  We will be using it for the dog, and switching the cats over too.

Revolution Flea and Tick Treatment makes my life easier.

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I have been using Revolution Flea and Tick Treatment  for 2 and 1/2 years and I will continue to use it. I purchase it online and it arrives in two packages of 6 treatments each. I use the mauve for small dogs. I have a Shih Tzu and a Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix. We live deep in the woods in southwest Florida with panthers, bobcats, foxes, rabbits, squirells and mice. So my dogs have lots of opportunities to get fleas and ticks from other animals as well as the ground. I spent the first five years of their lives taking them to the vet to get various flea/tick treatments as well as heartworm meds. I was actually spending more for their treatments than I did for my own doctor visits. ...

3 in 1, can you beat that?

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I'm a huge fan and supporter of Revolution for dogs.  I love the multiple benefits from it; it takes care of heartworm, fleas, and mosquitos as well.  My vet even recommended it for my dog's skin condition, which he suspected was likely scabies just under the surface.  Sure enough, within weeks her itching had dropped by leaps instead of the baby steps every other product was offering.  The relief I felt at knowing she felt better made me feel better, too.  I live in Florida and the fleas are pretty much year round, and the mosquitos aren't much better.  Having protection from that pleases me more than I can say.

Does *not* protect cats from ticks - read the label

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

Revolution for cats does not include protection from ticks - read the label, only the dog version does. If your cat goes outside and brings back the shiny black ticks around his eyes, you need to apply both the Revolution against heartworms and some intestinal parasites, and the Frontline Plus agains ticks. Both include flea protection, so you'll be applying a double dose of it. Hope some drug company comes up with an all-in-one solution.
