Revlon ColorStay Liquid Eye Pen

I guess when you've been wearing make up for two decades you go through phases.  Black liquid eye liner, often applied with something that looked like a tiny paint brush was popular in the eighties.  I was turned off for two reasons.  A) So many people OVER did it. B) I didn't seem to have the coordination to apply it correctly.

Maybe I have a steadier hand now.  Maybe I am just no longer in a rush.  Likely, it is the improvement in the applicator that makes this liquid eyeliner a success for me.

I am not an everyday eye liner wearer.  In my makeup bag, I have one Revlon eyeliner pencil, one Mary Kay eyeliner and one Clinique eyeliner.  This seems like over kill but they are all different colors with different features but what none if them were was BOLD.  A few months ago we were headed out for big time celebration with many friends old and new.  A new dress and a babysitter and this mama wanted something a little more dramatic for the evening.  I bought a Revlon ColorStay liquid eye pen from Walgreen's.

Would I be able to apply it correctly? I did!

Would it really stay put and not smear? It does!

Would it really last 16 hours? I have know idea as I didn't last that long myself but it did stay on all evening.  It may have been a little less bold at the tail end of the night but it was still very defined.

The felt tip has a cone shape so that you can use the side to create a wide lined look or the tip of the pen for a thin line.

Revlon ColorStay really does stay so I think your pleasure with this liquid eye liner will much depend on how well you're able to apply it.

-I found it in Black.

-It's made in Italy.

My Viewpoint:  For me, it's not an everyday liquid eye pen but when I want bold, crisp and long lasting eye liner, Revlon ColorStay will be my go to eyeliner.

I could go for the steadier hand - or just someone to do my make up for me!

NYC and Jane be Pure make great gel liners that are cheap and last. You can buy pricey ones like Urban Decay or Smashbox but to just TRY a gel, I would go with a drugstore brand. They work fine and they give BOLD results. I love them. As long as you're trying new things, you're a beauty diva in training! :)

Oh I have never tried a gel! I have several on my list to review but that would be a new one for me. Now you'll have me searches for plum! Thanks for reading Patty. I am so not a beauty diva but I am trying new things and enjoying sharing my take.

I love bold eyeliners. I tend to go for gel liners that are super dark and seem to last for ages. This one seems like a good one to try. I want a dark plum color.
