My Viewpoint!

While I was styling my hair one morning, I had decided that I wanted to buy a curling iron that would give me the big curls that hang loose and look super cute.  Since I normally buy a lot of my hair products and accessories at Target, I knew that I would find what I was looking for there.
The curling iron that I chose was the Revlon Ceramic Curling Iron 1.4".   I chose this specific curling iron for two reasons.

  1. It had the bigger barrel for bigger curls.
  2. It was priced right.  Cheap.

What I like best about the Revlon Ceramic Curling Iron is that it heats up fairly fast.  Turn it on and within a minute the curling iron is very hot to the touch.

What I dislike most is that the Revlon Ceramic Curling Iron doesn't curl my hair! Maybe this is a defect of the curling iron or maybe it's just my hair but all I get when trying to curly is either a nice flip up or down. not even one full curl.  Could it be the reason why it was price to cheap?

Curling irons are supposed to curl right?

I probably will never be use the Revlon Ceramic Curling Iron again since it doesn't do it's job and curl my hair but if you are ever looking for a fabulous flip at the bottom of your hair (think 60's style), this is your iron!

I have a Vidal Sassoon curling iron with a 2" barrel and got the same results. A big flip but no curl.

A curling iron that won't curl? Now that's a disappointment.

Nice review! Thank goodness I don't curl my hair often. The Marine Corp Ball that is once a year is about it! You just reminded me I need to review my flat iron :)

And those of us who want to flip or "bump" the ends of our hair can use a flat iron. My hair is board straight and the only curling iron I have found that will actually curl is the corkscrew and it's very time consuming. My hair stylist taught me to use my flat iron to flip the ends but I just as soon go with the straight hair and if I really want curls for church I do the sponge rollers the night before ;+) BTW: I love your new avatar on Twitter.

Mike! LOL I have this curling iron too and it didn't do much for my fine hair either. It's a loser!
