In this 1985 follow up to Wizard of Oz, we Return to Oz with a much younger Dorthy. The story begins with Dorthy being put in a sleep study institute to try to rid her of her "dreams" of Oz. This movie starts off on a scary note when Dorthy is strapped into bed and hooked up to machines. — — Characters...As I mentioned, Dorthy is much younger in this movie (which doesn't really make any sense) Some new characters are introduced, such as Belinda, Dorthy's talking chicken. This movie should be watched with the knowledge that this is not a sequal to 'the Wizard of Oz' musical with Judy Garland.  This movie is based on the books and the characters look like the illistrations in the books.  —  It is a fun adventure about a land with crazy happenings.  There are some things that could scare younger kids, but my children, ages 4, 6, and 7 liked it.    —… read full review »
