Our ResortQuest cottage was very comfortable and a great place to have a laid back hawaiian vacation. My initial impression was slightly negative, mostly due to my preconcieved notions on what the room would be like, as the cottages are in fact old plantation cottages moved to the seaside. In other words, rather than being a luxurious resort style room the cottages look more like cabins one might find in the woods. That said, the cottage was fairly well maintained, extremely clean, and full of many amenities normally not available including a full kitchen and separate shower for… read full review »

The Plantation Cottages are AWESOME! I can't say enough good things about this place...and I am sometimes hard to please. I arrived on the island late and I had been informed that the front desk staff would be there until 10 p.m. I ended up arriving closer to 11 p.m. I thought how will I find this place in the dark? It was lit up beautifully with tiki torches. The sign on the door said to call security to check in and when I did he said he would be right there. I hung up the phone and the door opened! I got to my room and found a beautiful flower arrangement...my boyfriend worked with the… read full review »

The Waimea plantation cottages made our honeymoon a memorable and wonderful trip. The cottages are nice and private. They were incredibly clean and the sheets were especially nice --- great quality and thread count. The kitchen was stocked with pots and pans, dishes, etc. so we could make a few meals and save some money. The staff was really helpful and made great recommedations on the island. Take plenty of film as you'll want to take lots of pictures of the amazing banyan trees on the property... The hammocks on the beach were so relaxing and a favorite part of the trip. The beach… read full review »

These cottages were wonderful. They are spaced nicely and provide a sense of privacy yet laundry facilities, dining, etc. was close by and parking was right outside each individual cottage. Groundkeeping was not intrusive, and the surroundings were gorgeous with view of the ocean from inside and outside of cottage. Newspaper was door delivered each morning and housekeeping did a wonderful job. Bathroom was HUGE with separate tub and shower units, kitchen was fully equiped, barbeque was clean, and we even had enough coffee and condiments to get us through until we could get to the store. … read full review »

The Waimea Plantation Cottages are so wonderful that I am reluctant to write this review. I don't want too people to know about this wonderful establishment. This is very different from a resort hotel experience or a vacation condominium experience. The cottages are actual plantation cottages. The property is very beautiful. My favorite part is the space between the cottages and the beach. There were many shade trees and comfortable chairs and hammocks, an ideal place for relaxing and enjoying the ocean breeze. Waimea is a nice community outside the busier tourist spots on Kauai yet close… read full review »

The Waimea Plantation Cottages was very nice. It was Quiet, except you could hear the ocean, which was a good thing. I loved that part. The cottage was very comfortable and spacious. We had a two bedroom, so it would be great for a family. The roosters crowed each morning, and that was pretty cool. We could see the ocean from our lanai through the palm trees. It was a beautiful picture. Overall it was a wonderful stay.Dining: Short Drive, The little restaurant we went to for breakfast was cozy, the staff was very friendly, and informative. They told us some places to go see while we… read full review »

My family & I very much enjoyed our time at this hotel. The accommodations are a little rustic, which adds to the charm & fits with the quiet peaceful setting. There is not much to do here but relax, which was our main goal. We had a 2 bedroom house with 2 bath rooms & a full kitchen. There was a broad expanse of green grass & mature trees between our house & the ocean. The beach fronting the cottages is not good for swimming, but makes for a nice background. I would recommend this place to any one who wants a nice quiet getaway & does not need a lot of hotel amenities. I look forward to… read full review »

The ResortQuest Waimea Plantation Cottages is a great place to stay if you want to do almost absolutely nothing. It was probably the most relaxing vacation I've had in years. And was just perfect for a honeymoon.Dining: In Hotel, There are really only two dining establishments by the hotel, the Waimea Brewery at the hotel and a steak house in town. Both are very good and the plus of the brewery is you can walk back to your room. But both close around 9 pm. —… read full review »
