I have been through a few hair straighteners in my day, and this is by far the best one I have used. I purchased the 2" width straightener, since I have thick hair, and I can straighten all of my medium length hair in less than 10 minutes, even when it's wet or damp. I'm not a big fan of drying my hair because I overheat easily, so this is really handy. I just dry my hair until it's still slightly damp and then use the straightener to style and dry the rest of it. This was given as a Christmas gift to me. Since I already have straight and thin hair, its objective for me is really to dry without blow-drying and frizz. It does this well, I wouldn't say its any quicker than a blow dryer but that could be because its a new tool for me. It does eliminate most of the frizz but I do miss the volume I would get from a blow drying. I do feel safer than a curling iron because of the plastic casing but my only fault with the design is there is no "stand" and i feel uneasy about just letting it balance on its side while warming to the correct temperature setting.… read full review »

When i first bought this straightener i didn't think it would work for my long hair. My hair goes close to my butt and it is very hard to straighten it by myself especially when i have to blow dry my hair first. I would recommend that you blow dry you're hair first till it is a little damp and then use this straightener. Only for long hair though, it doesn't burn you're hair, If you use this straightening cream it helps with the frizz to. The straightening cream that i use is Tresemme. I own this straightener. It works well on dry or damp hair but takes a couple times for wet hair, especially curly hair. Its pretty wide so works pretty fast on dry hair. Its to wide for short bangs though. This straightener heats up very quickly and beeps when its ready. It has different settings for each type for example ten settings for dry hair ten settings for damp hair and ten settings for wet hair. I bought this straightner a few months ago and love it.  It's convienent when you have dry or wet hair.  It dries wet hair in minutes and straightens dry hair just as fast.  The only problem with this straightner is when your hair is wet and your using it, it lets off steam which have burnt my hands quite a few times and is very painful.  I recommend using this item if your hair is dry or damp but not soaked.  The steam is dangerous but other than that I'd recommend this… read full review »

This straightener is worth the approximate $20 that I spent on but that is about it. It damaged my hair and I am now saving up my money to invest in a more expensive similar product to see if I get better results. The Remington Wet 2 Straight Hair Straightener works very well for my hair. I have thick hair, so it generally takes me a while to dry it. With this straightner I don't have to worry about blow drying my hair. I can do it all in one easy step and is doesn't take me a long time.
