I have been through a few hair straighteners in my day, and this is by far the best one I have used. I purchased the 2" width straightener, since I have thick hair, and I can straighten all of my medium length hair in less than 10 minutes, even when it's wet or damp. I'm not a big fan of drying my hair because I overheat easily, so this is really handy. I just dry my hair until it's still slightly damp and then use the straightener to style and dry the rest of it. It does have multiple heat settings that can be adjusted according to your hair's thickness and whether it is dry, damp, or wet. The only bad thing is that it does get unbelievably hot and since I have young kids, I have to make sure they are not around when I do my hair. It also releases steam as it dries your hair, which would be another hazard to watch for.
