Quick View: This is a good electric razor that shaves dry and is completely immersible as well. It doesn't shave quite as close as a "real" razor but it doesn't cut, scratch, or nick either. I like it!

About the Remington Smooth & Silky Women's Shaver (WDF-3600)

After my bloody debacle with Rite Aid Comfort Touch Disposable Razors for Women, my husband took pity on me and picked me up the Remington Smooth & Silky Women's Shaver (WDF-3600). I can only imagine him weeding through the women's razors looking for one he thought was best. It's a fun visual.

This razor has nano silver floating heads that move as I shave my legs to ease around the knees, ankles, and other spots that tend to be tricky. You can use it on dry skin or use it in the shower or bath with shaving cream. I like that versatility. I also like that I can push a button to turn it on and it will stay on. Some razors require constant holding down of the ON button and I can't deal with that hassle.

After charging the unit, it will go for quite a while without being plugged in but can be plugged in all the time as the battery will never overcharge. I use mine and then plug it back in. You cannot use it while it is plugged in because the makers think you may be dumb enough to take the plugged in shaver into the shower or bath. I suppose it's not a bad feature but is anyone THAT dumb? Yikes.

The shaver gives me a nice shave but not quite as close as a good, new razor would. However, I never bleed and I never have razor burn or any of that nastiness with the Remington. My skin is like onion paper or something. Razors just seem to rip my legs apart more than usual these days. So this electric shaver came at a great time!

Also with the shaver came a free pen-like trimmer for small areas like between the eyebrows, facial hair, and the bikini line. It uses one AAA battery which they did not include, the cheap sons of guns. There is also a little cleaning brush, a bikini head protector (You slip it over the head of the razor and you can shave "longer" hair without pain or pulling.), and a little attachment for the extra trimmer that I have no idea what to do with.

The Remington Smooth & Silky Women's Shaver (WDF-3600) has rubber all around for a good grip and water protection. It is easy on the hand and does a good job of quickly removing hair from the legs or anywhere else you may have a notion to remove unwanted hair. I still can feel a tiny bit of stubble when I am done shaving with this shaver dry. When I use it wet with shaving cream, the shave is closer. Either way, my legs look loads better without the cuts and scratches I usually have.

At $39.99, this is neither top of the line nor a cheapie. It does all it should both in and out of water and never irritates my skin. I can use it in the shower or bath without fear of electrocution and I can shave dry without fear of spurting blood from my legs. I like that it gently glides over my bony knees and ankles and never hurts.

I only had one other electric shaver in my life and it was horrible so I really can't say with certainty that this one is superior but it works for me. It is made well, feels good in the hand, is easy to use, and does the job. No, it doesn't leave my skin completely baby smooth but I certainly can go out and feel confident after using the shaver. I don't look like I need to shave my legs or anything like that. I have very coarse, dark leg hair which I literally have to shave in the morning and at night to keep stubble at bay. Most normal, non-neanderthal women probably will get a baby smooth, long lasting shave from this shaver.

After you get used to the feel of the shaver in your hand and know how to use it, I think you will find it's really quite a good shaver. I use it almost exclusively now and, when I think I can get away with a real razor, I am met with nicks and cuts and immediately go back to the Remington.

My Viewpoint

The Remington Smooth & Silky Women's Shaver (WDF-3600) is a solid, well performing wet/dry electric shaver. It makes a little bit of a racket with its buzzing but the only time anyone complained was when I answered the phone while using it. They were MOST curious as to what I was doing. I had to break it to them that it was just a shaver and to calm down. I think those looking for a good wet/dry electric razor will be pleased with the performance of this one. It gives a pretty close shave and the bonus trimmer actually is very useful. I give this 4 stars. No electric shaver will shave as close as a real razor, in my opinion, but this one is darn close. And I never have to worry about nicking or cutting myself and making a mess out of legs again! Whee.

LOL. I think it is supposed to be a costume you can buy at some store but I have no idea if it is supposed to be Chewbacca. It's a strange character...

Hmmm. Maybe I should get one of these. Of course, then I'd have to find some women to shave... ;-)

Dang, when I lightened my hair, my body hair remained dark. lol. I am OK on the arms and all but those legs just want to be hairy!

OK. Keep this quiet. My natural hair color is pretty dark. I color it lighter. I've just never had much hair on my arms and legs. Guess I'm lucky on that.

Haha. The most fun I have is finding descriptive pics. This one pretty much portrays me. ;)

You are lucky. We dark haired chicks have a rough time staying smooth and silky and I refuse to wax. It HURTS and doesn't last long for me.

LOVE the picture that looks like you should be on the Adams Family! I just had to get back on here when I scrolled and saw that shot.

Thinking on it . . . I started with electric but use the "real" ones now. I'm not very hairy though, so that's good.
