I have unruly, curly, difficult-to-manage hair, so buying a flat iron is always a gamble....especially on a small budget! I was quickly impressed with this ceramic iron's performance and durability. I love how easy it is to adjust the temperature setting and the swivel cord makes it easy to reach the back of my hair. Effectiveness The Remington Shine Therapy flat iron is probably the best flat iron available for such a reasonable price. I use mine about four days a week and have never had a strand of hair that it could not tame! I live in a very humid climate, so this is quite impressive. The iron heats up quickly and is lightweight and easy to use. I can style my hair fast and am totally satisfied with the results. I have used this with short hairstyles, long hair, colored hair, curly hair, wavy....and I have never been disappointed. Durability I have had this ceramic flat iron for three years. I have never had an issue. No over-heating, no broken pieces, no issues with the cord, and never any malfunction. I have a family of six with one bathroom, so the fact that it has not been destroyed is testimony to an outstanding product!

The Remington 1250 flat iron was strongly recommended by my friends, and I can see why. I love that it works with wet hair, and how quick it is to heat up. My hair is wild, usually extremely hard to tame, but the remington had it sleek and straight in a half hour. I'm very glad I made this purchase, it's the best flat iron I've had.

I have very curly hair so finding a flat iron that works well and works fast is difficult to do.  I've tried several and the Remington 1250 flat iron is great.  The high heat is great for straightening my curls; it leaves my hair frizz free and silky looking and it doesn't damage your hair.  It heats up quickly which saves time and you only have to run it over your hair once, which also saves time.

I've tried many hairstraighteners in the past and the Remington Shine Therapy beats them all hands down. It heats up right away, reducing time wasted. It also works immediately in the fact that you can use it one on a piece of hair and it is really straight. With most straighteners you have to keep repeating the straightening of the same strands of hair. With the Remington Shine Therapy model, I did not have to constantly straighten the same area. What normally took me twenty minutes now takes me ten! That means I cut my straightening time literally in half. What a time saver! Another bonus of this product is the amazing shine you will get when straighten. You hair will look so healthy and illuminating! My hair used to look very dry and damaged when uses other straighteners. Now my hair looks like I just stepped out of a salon with such shine.

Since my beloved CHI broke and hearing that the newer version just aren't the same quality, I've been out trying different bargain priced straighteners to see if price really makes a difference when it comes to flat irons. And surprisingly it doesn't seem to. This Remington Shine Therapy Straightener is only 1/4 of the price of my CHI but is almost just as good! It heats up fast and gets really hot! As you straighten your hair, you will see that the hair is shinier than before you ran it through. Whats also nice is you only need to run the hair through once, given you have it on the right temperature setting for your hair. You have to play with the temperature a little in the beginning because it seems hotter than the temperature that's indicated. Periodically when I run my hair through it could snag at the each of the plate, which could also indicate that I am straightening too much hair at once. Overall for the price the Remington Shine Therapy Straightener is a steal!

I just bought this flat iron and it works wonderfully. It heats up very quickly - probably less than 30 seconds - and gets hot enough to flatten my thick and wavy hair! The only thing I might note is that the flat iron I used to use had a wider wand than this one does. It still works fine, but I have to section my hair into smaller pieces. If you had thin hair it probably wouldnt matter at all. It is also nice because it has a ceramic plate, so I don't feel like I am frying my hair every day! I think it actually does make my hair look shinier and smoother overall - whether I use conditioner or not. (and that is saying a lot because my hair is not naturally shiny) I also like that this is pretty compact and easy to pack... doesn't take up much space on my counterop OR in my suitcase! Overall I think this is a fantastic buy for the price.. woudl recommend it for anyone in need of a quailyt straightener that is within a decent price range.

Hey everyone; I beleive this Remington is a great product. I have used this straightner for about a year now. I like it alot because I have long and course hair. When I wash my hair and then I dry it My hair is very thick and wavy. I always add a shiner to my hair before I use this product because as with any straightner your hair will dry out if you don't use something before straighting. This product is not bulky, and it works fast. You may have to go over thicker area's of your hair if your hair is curly or kinda wet. If that doesn't work try using smaller sections of hair at one time. But I really lik ethsi product and it is very easy to use. I have always had faith in Remington anyways. I even have their curling iron that I have had for years! This product will be around for a long time because the benefit of such a shiny ending is awesome! Just for thought, Use a oil base shine BEFORE you start straighting, It will make the end results even better!

I turn my straightener on every morning after I finish blowdrying my hair. By the time I'm done brushing my teeth it's FULLY HEATED! It locks in moisture and keeps my hair shiny all day! My hair stays straight all through the day and into the next! It's even good at CURLING your hair!!

I delighted when I first saw this iron. I was in the market for a new straightener and this saved my life. The avocado oil was only an added treat for me, as I was looking for one with fast and high heat. I loved 'destroying' my hair to acheive the straightness I desired. I was not disappointed, as it did the trick, but I made the mistake of using very high settings at first, and even with heat protectant spray, my hair smelled bad for a little while. I have been using it sparingly and with a lower heat setting and only notice a light scent now, which may be due to the past damage. I'm not sure of the validity or the lifespan of the avocado oil, but it's still going strong! The main downside for me is that it does not have a little 'stand' to hold it up, so I have to be very careful when I set it down. It's rolled onto the carpet and little singed threads gum up the sides and I have to check that before I do my hair, haha. Great little tool though!

The Remington Shine Therapy Flat Iron is a wonderful flat iron!  This is the best flat iron that I've tried. I have very thick wavy hair that can be quite stubborn when it comes to straightening.  Being a mother of 3 young kids I don't have a lot of time in front of a mirror to spend straightening my hair, however this Remington Flat Iron has been fabulous for me!  You can adjust the temperature and it heats up super quickly so not much time wasted waiting for it to be ready.  It is very efficient in straightening hair and the shine therapy gives an extra glisten to my hair which always helps to make me a feel a bit more put together.  The sleek design means it's easy to pack for travel and to store when not in use.  It's lightweight and easy to manage even for those akward spots at the back of your head.  I've had this flat iron for 2 years and have had no problems with it and if it ever wears out I will definitely purchase the same things again. Very happy with this!
