I'm growing out my very straight hair and doing a good job of it. It's healthy, shiny, and getting really long but I've not done much with it for about a year. I started growing it out after a really bad short haircut and so far it is longer than it has ever been but since I work at home I find myself doing nothing with it. I'm starting to look like a mountain woman and I don't like it.
I love my Caruso hairsetter (see my review) but sometimes I don't want that much curl and just want some waves and flips to show off my layers. So last week I headed to Tarjhay in search of something new. I was all set to find the same set of boring old hot rollers I always find but was pleasantly surprised when I stumbled upon a set of travel sized hot rollers that seemed to suit my needs perfectly. It's the All That Quick Curl Hair Setter from Remington and I love it.
There are 10 curlers all together; 5 large and 5 extra large, although I think a more appropriate description would be 5 medium and 5 large. They are packed tightly into a microfiber travel case that is so compact I can't even believe it. The case with the rollers inside measures 9 x 4 x 4 inches and the cord sticks out the side. The rollers heat up in only 90 seconds although they get a little hotter if you let them heat up for more like 5 minutes. I am easily able to roll my hair around the rollers and the combination of the clips and the rubbery surface and texture of the roller keep them in place.
The result is really nice curls and flips that look really cute. I bought this set for use a few times a week and for when I go out but I'm finding myself using them everyday as they heat up quickly and when I'm finished I can just pop the whole case into the drawer of my vanity and it's not like having that huge shoebox sized container of hot rollers laying around. Plus, those come with like 30 rollers which you don't need unless you have a head the size of a pumpkin.
I am so happy that I found this compact set of rollers. I use it several times a week and will be happy to travel with them. I can't believe how small they are. It would be very easy to find a spot to tuck the case into luggage for a long trip or even into a small overnight bag for short trips.
