Almost two weeks ago I made a drastic change by getting 17 1/2 inches cut off the length of my hair. With that came a new look and a new routine. I now have to get up each morning and plug a curling iron in and curl the ends of my hair and style it. I have been a fan of Redken 18 Quick Dry Instant Finishing Spray for years but have only had to use it on occasion, like when I would sponge roll my hair for church or an event. Now I find myself using it every morning because with the length of my hair I need something to help it stay in place and to hold a style. Redken 18 Quick Dry does the trick! How?
The website says this is why it works:
Redken 18 Quick Dry is like a hair glue; really! When you spray it on you can feel it binding the hair together. Too much and it's like your hair has hit a brick wall. I feel like you have to be really quick when styling your hair because once you spray it it is very difficult to get a comb or pick thru it to shape it, restyle it, etc. I love this product because my hair is so fine and doesn't have much natural body. If I flip my hair upside down and spray and then come back up and take a pick to it really quick I am able to give it the appearance of being fuller and bouncier. My hair appears heavy and "stuck" right after I style it but throughout the day I can feel it relaxing some so that it's not so stiff but it still maintains the look. Also, this hairspray doesn't produce a sticky or flaky residue. I have used styling products in the past that when I tried to brush or comb my hair I could see this fine flaky white residue come off the hair shafts. This one brushes out clean.
I'm not one to wash my hair every day so when I style it the second day it seems as if the Redken 18 Quick Dry from the previous day helps set it and give it even more volume. I put this hair spray to the test a few years ago when my best friend's daughter got married. I showed up with the other bridesmaids to get ready for the wedding. No one remembered to bring hairspray for the final touches so I pulled out the Redken 18 Quick Dry. I helped one girl fix her hair and then by the time we were done I think every girl had borrowed my hairspray. Several hours later after the wedding and reception with lots of dancing all of the ladies' hair still looked great!
Redken 18 Quick Dry cannot be bought in stores. You have to buy it at salons. It's a little on the expensive side but in my opinion, well worth it. The other week when I got my hair cut I bought the hairspray on sale buy one get the other 50% off. An 11 oz can costs $14 but it will lasts me over a month and many days I am using it in the morning and then again in the evening.
