Redi Shade Temporary Shades Review Summary

Every window needs some shade and Redi Shade Temporary Shades provide good, termporary relief from glaring sunlight. These shades are widely available in many stores and offer a nice selection between different fabrics. They also offer three levels of light control and reviewers like their ability to keep a room as dim as possible, even when the sun is shining bright. Redi Shade Temporary Shades offer “Instant Privacy at Low Cost” and another reviewer says “Redi Shade Temporary Blinds are a Good Alternative”. However, not everyone is pleased with these shades, like one reviewer who made the comment: “Very Poor Mounting Bracket- Not a Safe Product”. Difficulty with adjustments and questionable quality make Redi Shade Temporary Shades a good, but not necessarily great Home Furnishing product.

Whether your home is new or just new to you, you'll probably need window coverings.  After settlement and the expenses of moving, cash may not be plentiful, but you'll still have to do something about all those windows.  Redi Shades have been a lifesaver for us.  We used the light-filtering shade in the wider (48") width in our bathroom.  Three fabric Redi Shades went up in the master bedroom.  Instant privacy!  We did have to weight the shades temporarily to extend them to their full length (as advertised).  We cut one pair to fit the two narrower windows in our living room, and we cut... review »

The Redi-Shade temporary blinds are actually quite good. They cut easily to the perfect size (provided you are skilled with using a box cutter or utility knife and can draw a straight line), mount quickly and easily (make sure you line them up BEFORE removing the protective strip on the adhesive portion) and look great when they're in place. The clips work fine to allow you to open them during the daytime for light; one clip is sufficient at the bottom of most modern windows to keep them down.
Bear in mind I am writing from new construction, with nice, clean aluminum window frames to mount these...

I purchased 4 of Redi shades first time ( not the temporary ones). They come with two very poor quality plastic brackets for mounting the top flimsy hollow thin plastic rod. The rod bows under the weight of the shade. I called Redi shade. Very reluctantly they sent me 4 brackets to add one additional bracket in the center. The customer service had a very bad attitude.

Later on I went out and bought 6 more of these as I liked these , provided you use 3 brackets for mounting each of them, so that they do not fall down when you pull them down. I called customer service at Redi Shade to give me 6 more...
