Redi Shade Temporary Shades —
The Redi-Shade temporary blinds are actually quite good. They cut easily to the perfect size (provided you are skilled with using a box cutter or utility knife and can draw a straight line), mount quickly and easily (make sure you line them up BEFORE removing the protective strip on the adhesive portion) and look great when they're in place. The clips work fine to allow you to open them during the daytime for light; one clip is sufficient at the bottom of most modern windows to keep them down. Bear in mind I am writing from new construction, with nice, clean aluminum window frames to mount these to, and a lip at the bottom of the window frame that will accept the clip. Older homes with wooden sashes will probably present more of a challenge. But if you're in a newer home or apartment or condo, I highly recommend these. They also seem sturdy, although I don't know how they'd hold up in a home with an active or curious child (or cat.)
