What a pleasure it has been to receive our free night certificate without having to request it. It was just waiting for us along with the other mail. We did not call, email, write or phone for it. That was unusual. We wondered where to use it. We have been to the two other hotels in the area that belong to this chain and were postponing a visit to either for personal reasons. To our surprise, we were able to get a room at the Red Roof Inn, Miami Airport, the previous night. Another first! We were not given the run around usually encountered when using rewards certificates. The reservation process and check in were totally painless.

Upon check in we were given as requested, an all inclusive King Room. I received a T-Mobile day pass. along with the key. The room was spotless. The halls have a pleasant aroma. We arrived in the early morning hours, in the  free shuttle from the airport. The clerk advised us that the only room of the type reserved available was an accessible room. We don't need it, but in order to get the room earlier, we took it. This room may  or may  not be an accessible room. The bathroom is a curious hybrid. The bathtub has a large marble like area in the back that can be used to sit and bathed comfortably. The shower is attached to a long metal hose and reaches all the way back. But there is an ordinary tub, as well as a gray ceramic floor, like accessible rooms have.

Of all the Red Roof Inns I have been to, this is the cleanest and best managed without a doubt. There's an area with tables for the continental breakfast. The coffee lover's hotel lives up to its reputation here. Two specialty coffee machines were working all day, as well as a "regular, decaf, and hot water" large dispenser. The stay is definitely comfortable, and economical. The shuttle to the airport does run as promised every half hour, and from the airport, one can take a dozen buses and the train to West Palm Beach. The shuttle to the airport will connect you with various small eateries there. But within walking distance you have a Bennigans, a fancy restaurant at the Embassy Suites down the block, serving Omana Steaks meats, a Pollo Tropical, and others. I don't get about in my own vehicle presently, so these things make a difference.
