There hasn't been a Red Lobster close to where I live for a long time. As a result, I hadn't eaten at a Red Lobster for close to 15 years. Well, I knew I was going to be in Hattiesburg, and I found out that they have a Red Lobster there, so I wasn't going to pass up the opportunity to have dinner.
I arrived at the restaurant at approximately 4pm on a Saturday afternoon. In spite of the early hour, I still had to wait for a table. I'm not complaining. In fact, I think it's a good sign that the restaurant had so much business at something of an off hour.
In spite of the fact that the restaurant was very busy, I found that the whole process went quickly. My waitress did a good job and was very attentive (I wish I could remember her name to include in this review, but unfortunately, I seldom remember the names of my waiters/waitresses). I ordered lobster nachos for an appetizer and a seafood platter as my main course. My food was hot and fresh, I got it quickly, and there was a good bit of it. The only issue was that my appetizer and main course were brought to me at the same time. That doesn't bother me, but I know that it bothers some people. The idea of an appetizer is that it's supposed to be eaten before the main course and not at the same time.
Overall, I enjoyed my experience at Red Lobster in Hattiesburg. I'm deducting a star only because of the issue with the appetizer and the main course. That certainly won't keep me from returning if ever I'm in the area again.
