a crafty chick, a crocheter, value conscious
I do a lot of knitting an crocheting for nursing homes and overseas missions. I actually prefer to use Red Heart Yarns over any other, because of the consistency of quality, durability, and it's washable qualities. Red Heart has consistently out performed other yarns. too busy to make beds
I think that every crocheter or knitter starts with this yarn. You can make a whole blanket with 2 or 3 skeins, which equal less than $10. It washes easily, and softens up a bit, but can be rough to work with if you have sensitive skin. Inexpensive and good for toys or anything for little kids, but I would never make a sweater out of it. It's very stiff and uncomfortable to wear. I have a scarf made out of it but it's very stiff so I don't wear it…

value conscious
Want to make something? Most people who buy yarn do. red Heart makes super-cheap completely artificial yarn. For the most part they're scratchy and uncomfortable in glaring colors. — — In my work as a knitting and crochet instructor one piece of advice has consistently served my students and myself well. Find yarn you love, and find a pattern you love. You're much more likely to follow through on something you're passionate about than on something that cheap and easily accessible. — — That being said, red heart has good stitch definition and lots of colors -- it's…
