Red Heart Yarns are very economical. They come in large no dye-lot skeins. The yarns are easy to find, as many big-box retailers sell them. They will not be found at most "yarn shops" because the so-called yarn snobs do not like them (in general).  I like to use Red Heart Yarns for baby afghans, other afghans that will get a lot of use, and toys.  The yarns are easy to work with and come in tons of colors to coordinate with anything.  Red Heart Yarns come in large skeins, and usually do not tangle though finding the correct end to start with can often require pulling out a bunch of the yarn.  Sometimes the yarn feels a little scratchy, but it wears really well. Does not fade. Does not split when crocheting.
