I have to admit I was quite amused when I first saw Red Barn Lamb And Rice Roll. I hadn't seen anything like it for an animal anyway. I thought of it as a now and then treat initially. I was pleasantly surprised almost immediately by it's ingredients. Brown rice, lamb, veggies, flaxseed and more. All those things that I try so hard to include in my own diet. I started giving it to my dog because I felt really good about the quality of the ingredients and, because he actually eats it. He can be picky at times so initially I only purchased one and in the smallest size which was about 2 pounds at the store I shopped. It was priced very well for all the nutrients that it offered too which is great because I never see any coupons for this brand in my area. I don't really like putting it in the refrigerator but I can't leave it out after opening. My dog doesn't like it cold so I warm it slightly in the microwave for several seconds. Just be careful that it doesn't heat unevenly and burns your dogs tongue. You should give it a quick hand touch to check for surface temperatures or just leave it out for a while at room temperature. Other than that, I would say it's a really great product to use for your dog's health. Quality of Ingredients Contains no wheat so it's great for dogs with allergy issues. Flavor Selection A couple of choices in size of package, I didn't see any flavor varieties other than this one.

Our dog loves her food rolls. She knows every birthday party and celebration means there will be a tasty food roll around.  The Lamb & Rice with Mixed Vegetables Roll is the only food roll from Red Barn that is wheat free.  (Although it does contain Brown Rice and Rice Flour in the top 5 ingredients.)     What's so great about this food roll?  It contains complete balanced nutrition for all life stages (puppies through seniors).  It has a balanced Calcium to Phosphorous ratio (means it's okay for large breed dogs).  It contains no BHA, BHT, or Ethoxyquin.  Great appetite stimulator.  Lots of nutrition from a small amount of food.  It is wheat-free.  Made in the USA.  Red Barn Lamb & Rice Formula Rolls are sold in three sizes: 10 oz (handy for carrying in a purse or backpack), 2 lbs, 3 oz (probably a good size for bulk buying for a small dog), and our personal favorite the 4 lb chub. The 4 lb chub equals eleven 14 oz cans of dog food.  The lamb food roll costs more than the other Red Barn food roll flavors, but not by too much.
