Reality Television Review

What can one say about reality television, for me not much.  Don't get me wrong, there are few reality shows that I love, mainly ones that revolve around real life. Ice Road Truckers is one in particular.  This is not a show that I thought I would like, but it is something different and also informative components as well. 

Reality television that are on the 4 major networks (NBC, CBS, ABC AND FOX), are mindless and boring.  How many years can keep watching a bunch people on an island doing the same thing.  Different place, different people every season, but the same premise.  When I look at the line-ups on the big 4 networks, there at least 3-4 reality shows listed on any given night.  What happened to a well written drama or comedy??

I guess to sum it up, if you want something different, innovative and thought provoking cable is the way to go.  Yes, they have reality shows as well, like Top Chef, Project Runway etc..... and I do watch the two shows mentioned.  Maybe we should all take a break from reality television which isn't reality at all, and does not represent the average citizen.  There are other options out there, and we should all try to stimulate our minds by watching some of them.
