I have become a very big fan of all things old soul music because it was at that time the music was made with heart and character. Motown set the standard for simple yet effective music that would live on and be covered time and time again. You would think one would grow tired of this music but when it's done right how can you not fall in love all over again?! A friend told me that a group had covered Motown music and thought I would be interested. I took it for a joke UNTIL I got home and gave Reach Out a full listen and am happy to report that the last laugh was split four ways. Human Nature, a four member band hailing from Australia, puts an impressive spin on some of Motwon's beloved classic's manging, if but for a moment, making the songs all their own. To do a cover is a tricky task but if done right you come out smelling like musical roses...again split four ways! If they sound this good on record one can only imagine what they will sound out like and when they tour I will find out!!
