Razor Scooter
My car seems to always be loaded with some form of fun with wheels for my kids like plasma cars, trikes or bikes. As they are rolling in fun, Mommy will get to walk the track or play tennis, so I am willing to load and unload and rearrange and rearrange these riding toys in my car.
And then came the Razor Scooter!
Razors started showing up at the park and quickly became the main attraction for "sharing." Razors were the Little Debbie cakes that made all the other riding toys seem like the tuna on rye sandwich. Of course my kids wanted their own. They retail around $30.00 and but my husband found a used pair in a Play it Again Sports shop for $11.00 each. Sold!
What I like about the Razor:
The best feature of the Razor to me as a Mom is how it folds up to be not much bigger than an umbrella and is so easy to store in the car.
I also like that it keeps my kids active and moving, moving, moving while letting them work on their balance as well. As I tell then during this summer heat, keep scooting and you can enjoy the breeze. The third wheel makes it fairly stable. Even the five year old caught on quickly how to use the brakes.
The foam covered handle bars and the wheels come in a variety of colors which is great when there is more than one child in the family and they can be color coded.
What I don't like about the Razor:
There is certainly potential for pinching fingers when Razor scooters are being folded up. Also, the foam covers on the handle bars are not durable and are usually temporary.
