The Razer Lachesis is an excellent gaming mouse with great functionality. Like other Razer products, the Razer Lachesis is built for gaming. LED lit so you'll never lose your mouse, macro capability, on the fly DPI adjustment are some of the many reasons this mouse is a perfect gaming mouse. I have been using this on my PC for awhile, and it has not failed me yet. The mouse uses a single USB port, and has many many buttons for use. Up to 9 buttons can be macro-a-fied, and a few can be used to rotate to different macro profiles and different DPI profiles for maximal customize-ability. Although this is my first hardcore gaming mouse, i have used other gaming products such as the Nostromo n50, specifically made for games. I can say tat Razer makes some top notch products.   The drawbacks of the Lachesis, like other Razer products, is the price. It's retail price is way out of the league of the casual consumer, and those not into gaming for extended periods of time should certainly stay away from such a large investment
