Putting puzzles together is a great exercise for youngsters, for it improves fine motor skills and gives children a sense of achievement. I am a big fan of puzzles.  As an educator, I know that working puzzles helps kids develop spatial relationship skills needed for reading and math, but as a Mom I know that puzzles are just a fun, quiet time activity that take just a few minutes to build a picture and pride as well.
