I own two rats named Sabastian and Oscar. I have had them for about a year and they are sweet, interesting, eat anything I put in their cage and have such realistic personalities it's incredible. Sebastian is the one that loves everyone and will run all around the house or just sit on my lap while I do school work. Oscar is slightly skiddish and when he is out of his cage he likes to be hidden inside my shirt or under something. Also, when Oscar gets loose it's almost impossible to get him back, but Sabastian will come right back. It's fun to see the wonderful pleasure in owning and caring for something most people are afraid of. The tail is weird at first, but when the little rats lick your face and fingers you will change your mind. I feed them left overs, rat food, and rotten food from my frigerator. They love it all. The only problem is that you have to clean their cage once a week or your house will smell as bad as the rats do.
