Raphael Saadiq's The way I see it is like riding in a time machine. Ever since his days in Tony Toni Tone Saadiq has showed his respect and appreciation for Soul music.  Not R&b but soul music. For fans of the Motown sound, Al Green, Marvin Gaye and other icons of the 60's & 70's buy this CD. Saaqid make you feels as though you found unreleased tracks from 1972. The way I see it Saaqid trades commercial appeal and radio airplay to put out an authentic soul cd in 2008, and I am glad he did
